Wow...thanks for making my night!
<3
y'all are welcome!
I'm glad I found this as well.
Zombie prom is nicely structured for a short-film musical; and the comic book motif is a nice way to tie it all together.
i hate itunes!! it won't let me download it because i don't have a credit card with a u.s. billing address, why ? it's free!!
boo! and indeed hoo!

I can't get it in England, really frustrating.. I can't believe they made a Zombie Prom movie, incredible!
I just watched it and I must say I was really dissapointed They cut all my favorite songs (well rupaul does sing jonny don't go during the credits) which I understand because it's a short film. But the acting left a lot to be desired and the choreography was lack luster. Jonny's makeup also bothered me.
But this doesn't mean I won't watch it again
I saw this show twice when it was playing in NYC. Unfortunately I was in the minority of people who really liked the show. Part of it's charm was the smart staging, and spot-on satirical performances, especially by nerdlings Rebeca Rich as Candy and Jeff Skowron as Josh.
I'm all about the free download (thanks for the heads up mateo), but it doesn't quite live up to the original show.
What I Learned from Zombie Prom
Count me as one of the people who loved the show off-Broadway (I worked on it) and one of the people who was disappointed in the "film version," which I had been dying to see since I read about it a year ago.
Let me count the ways: the actors playing Jonny and Toffee look to be about 30 years old; Rupaul is dreadful as Miss Strict--which would probably explain why they cut all of Strict's songs, including the showstopping "Rules Regulations and Respect;" outside of one very funny moment of Rupaul's (when she threatens to cancel the prom over the loudspeaker), the camp tone that made the stage version such a hoot is largely underplayed; and finally, it made no sense to me to attempt to jam a 2 hour musical into a 36 minute film...too many elements from the show needed to be excised.
You know what would have been great? Rather than getting a third-rate "name" for Miss Strict who was wrong for the role, they should have gotten Karen Murphy, off-Broadway's original Miss Strict. Murphy is one of those Ellen Greene types who's talented enough to deserve a far bigger career than she's had.
Thanks for the heads up its downloading right now!
YESS!!!
36 minutes went by so fast...so fast that I didn't get a story with my musical...nor did I get a musical because all the songs where so short.
