for the Little Mermaind musical, Ariel should be..

Ok I know nothing about the Little Mermaid musical or when it's supposed to come out...but... I think Ariel should be Eden Espinosa lol. Don't start yelling at me. I think this because I was listening to the Brooklyn CD in the car yesterday and my family was like "She sounds like Ariel" (her speaking voice) I really do think she has Ariel from the movie's speaking voice. Also, when she isn't belting and is singing pretty, she sounds like Ariel. She also played Ariel at Disneyland sooo I was just being goofy and thought of this... I think she'd be great at this part. I've heard many good things about Eden's acting from those who know her, it's just that Brooklyn doesn't really requre strong acting.

Eden as Ariel would be the weirdest casting ever. Ariel has to be small and cute, innocent, words that I don't typically apply to Eden :0)

I'm all about Celia being cast.

eden played pochahantas and was inh a performance grup called route 66... I love her voice and vocally she fits ariel well, but Kerry Butler, as well as many other, fit the role more. There are better roles out there for her

AS much as I love Eden, I think Kerry BUtler would be better suited for the role.

I've seen Eden's performance as Pocahontas too, but I think we can all agree that Pocahontas and Ariel are very different roles.

There's a rumor that Celia has the role for the workshop. As you can see from this thread, it is certainly not finalized or official. But I think it's a great idea!

i think Kerry Butler... but i reckon Lea Salonga could do a lot with the role too, she's small, sweet and has a velvet voice but can also belt. I think she'd be really good.. really really good!

i genuinely think Kerry Butler is going to be cast as Ariel. I just heard a little mermaid song that Kerry sung for Alan Menken and she was just more than fab. I think she should be cast As Ariel coz she's got the great look and the great voice. So i definately think theres a positive chance Kerry's gonna get the role. We'll just have to wait and find out soon. Go kerry!

I also thought they could maybe get Jodi Benson (original voice as Ariel in the film) to be the role of Ariel, but even though shes definately got the voice, shes probably abit too old to play the part. But Kerry is my strongest choice
