Anyone remember Kirsty Alley and Ted Dansen during the Emmy's one year. They were talking about how he'd been nominated every year but had never won. Kirsty had likened it to Ted sitting in the backseat of a car with a woman who would unzip his pants, then zip them back up again. Up and down, up and down. Make him think he was about to get lucky and then do nothing.
This is how I'm starting to feel about these negotiations and the news reports.
(btw...Ted ended up winning his first Emmy later that same night)

Neither the League nor the Union have made an official statement yet. So no, the press conference is NOT going on. NY1 is getting its word from people on the picket lines, NOT the actual representatives at the table.

You know, I have to work Saturday and Sunday but I do have off on Friday. Hmm...
What to do see? I'm tempted to see Hairspray again but I want to see Drowsy and Curtains. But I promised to see them with a friend. But she's so hard to pin down. Hmm...decision, decisions.

Too bad. This could have been an opportunity for real change and the establishment of new models of production. Instead it's gonna be the same crap as usual as Broadway lumbers like a dinosaur to its inevitable end.
