Is there ANY way of getting tix to opening night? I tryed Telecharge but they are sold out. I'm going to be in NYC that night and really want to go to opening night.
Wait until a week before and check telecharge. Then keep checking each day and you might get lucky. Odds are you should be able to get something in the rear of the balcony.

how much is rear balcony? Could I wait till I'm in NYC on the 12th? Y do they say its sold out then release tickets? I thought that they would release the expensive ORC seats not the cheap ones
They say it is sold out because they may need all of the tickets to give out. Most shows end up having unused tickets, so they are put on telecharge for sale. I ended up going to the opening night of Mauritius that way. I've also seen some opening nights pop up on TKTS for that same reason. They just have extra tickets and they don't release them until they are sure of how many they may need. Generally speaking they will give out the better seats first to opening night guests, so whatever is left ends up being further back/higher up. I believe rear balcony at the Lyceum is $26.50. I doubt you'll be able to buy opening night seats at the box office, so I'd recommend buying them if you happen upon them on telecharge. And because you'll probably ask, I highly doubt that they would be holding a lottery for opening night... It's possible, but not likely.
Thank you Sean!
Hehe I tried my best with that vid and try to capture as much of the craziness as possible! There is another vid on the official blog with SO good too!!! It hink you see me bopping up and down in the background (much like agentpattycakes... hehe).
Thanks for that video, Robbie. I saw you last night before the show and didn't even think to say hi!
Where is that poster with the "Sardi's" line on it? Shubert Alley?

How far in advance do they usually release the tix? Like a week b4 so that would be thursday. or what? I'm going into NYC on the 13th and will be there thru opening.
Geez, I wrote to start checking a week before opening night. How hard is that to understand? And again I reiterate, I doubt they will sell you opening night tickets at the box office.

SNL, I believe the poster is on 44th street, right by Xanadu.
P.S. - I don't really ever post on this board, but I just had to post in this thread. I'm so happy for the cast and they deserve all of the love they're getting! I will be there with my friend on July 21st. Anyone else going that day?

Thanks for posting the pictures!
Aww, I love that poster!
For the merchandise, were there any shirt designs that were something other than the name/logo?
Yeah, they had a TON of stuff at the merch booth. I'll try to remember all of it...
They had a bunch of different shirts, one was black and said [title of show] in white lettering, one had a Rice Krispie Treat on it and I think it was vintage red, one said something like "Team TOS" in baseball-esque writing with "Tosser" and the number 9 on the back like a team jersey (it was black/greyish with blue and red lettering), there was one that was white and said [shirt], and opposite shirts that said "Uptown" and "Downtown", with a little drawing of the city on each of them (the Uptown one was white with pink lettering, and the downtown one was...blue? with white lettering? I don't remember very well). Oh, and there was a red shirt with "A, D, D, D, D, D, F sharp, A" on it, on the staff. I think that was all of the shirts, and they were selling a green bag, much like the one sold at SITPWG and ITH, only with [title of show] embroidered on it in white. They also had a hat that said [hat] (of course), magnets with the logo on it, and yellow pencils that say [title of show] with "I will! I'll write!" under it. I didn't see any windowcard, but then again, I didn't ask. Sorry for run-on sentences and general incoherentness; I'm still on a high from yesterday. Hope I helped!
(I have a fuzzy pic too, and I'll upload it later if anyone wants it...)
So I won lotto for the matinee yesterday. WOW.
Any clue if the opening night party will be at Tavern on the Green?
Because there's no other way to do it.
Also, on a related note...
Anyone been by Triton Gallery?
Is their poster hanging?
Part of it all!!!!!
I want that Rice Krispy Treat shirt. So much.
Thank you very much, sweeneynut! I kind of want ALL of those shirts now, though! and the pencils... and the [hat], even though I don't wear hats...
