Hey, so going back to off-Broadway for [tos]: according to a dramaturg friend of mine, it wouldn't be the first time. He says 'Glengarry Glen Ross' went from the Golden Theatre to off-Bway to make room for 'Night Mother', and 'Man of La Mancha' moved from the Martin Beck on W45th to Eden -now the Village East Cinemas on 12th & 2nd in the 1970's.
Even if it's not the first time, it's rare and would get deserved headlines. And I don't think it would be a slap in the face to keep these guys doing what they love--and it would just be awesome for more people to see the show.
The last vampire is the mother of all vampires and that is the vampire of despair. It'll wake you up at 4am to say things like:
Who do you think you are kidding?
You look like a fool!
No matter how hard you try, you'll never be good enough!
Why is it that if some dude walked up to me on the subway platform
and said these things, I'd think he was a mentally ill as-h-le,
but if the vampire inside my head says it,It's the voice of reason!
DIE VAMPIRE, DIE--[SUSAN in tos]
On top of which, this isn't exactly the most normal of circumstances to be closing under.
We've had 5 quality shows post closing notices in the past month or so. These aren't stinkers that got killed by reviewers, but either new and original shows or long-running hits. The economy is raping Broadway up the butt and if they transfer off-Broadway as a result, I see it as a smart business move rather than a failure.
I love America. Just because I think gay dudes should be allowed to adopt kids and we should all have hybrid cars doesn't mean I don't love America.

I believe Heidi was originally scheduled to play Ursula March 30 - she left TLM not long before that
She left after that, you mean?

I know this is ridiculous to ask because it's closing on Sunday because of these types of questions but..
does anyone know of a discount code for tomorrow's matinee? I want to bring a group of people but I really can't afford anything too pricey. Maybe I'll just balcony it up!
Raise your paws if you'll be at the final performance tomorrow!
I'm so sad to see them go, but I'm glad they will without a doubt be given a send off by the most incredible, most devoted fans of any show on Broadway.
Tomorrow night's audience is going to be filled to the brim with [love], and I look forward to seeing what the next stop on the [tos] journey will be.

If you are at the final performance tomorrow- please take the time to consider adopting an international [tos]ser. It is the last chance to do so I guess, and I still have people waiting to be adopted...needing to be adopted....begging to be adopted!
I just adopted an international [tos]ser for tomorrow evening's performance!
Word!

I'll be coming up from DC for the final matinee tomorrow. As much as I would like to, I can't stay for the final show because I've gotta get back home tomorrow as well. Anyone else going to the matinee tomorrow?

I need help with a line. I saw the show again last night and missed the line again. I forgot during which number, but Susan goes, "..of course you were meant to have children." Can someone explain what I missed?
I think we should make a conectrated effort to let tonight's show still be a show. Obviously rioutous entrance applause and post-song applause is acceptable, but I'd prefer I be able to enjoy the songs/dialogue tonight one final time uninterrupted by people's screaming laughter or random "we love you!"'s like Idina's last Wicked or something.
We can probably bank on stopping the show after "A Way Back to Then," but lets let the show be a show, not a screaming match.
I'm so conflicted I want to say "can't wait to see it again tonight" but I also don't want tonight to be my last chance to do so :'(.
