It really does sound amazing!! I saw the show a couple of weeks ago & couldn't wait for the recording to come out. Everybody sounds great, & this does the live performance justice. I will definitely have this on repeat for the next few weeks!!
"Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, take the moment & making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity." -Gilda Radner
Sadly won't be able to see this production and haven't really been looking into it, besides basic reviews, but is it fully sung through? I love listening to musicals I've never seen that are entirely sung.
What a fantastic recording! I'm so glad this amazing cast has been preserved and that the full show finally has its own recording! 25 years is an awfully long time to wait, but it may have just been worth it...

Omg I've previewed all the songs and they're amazing. The quality of this recording is stellar. I pre ordered the 2 disc cd from Shh-K Boom, but I don't think that will ship until next month. Would anyone be willing to send the digital download my way? I'd be forever grateful as I'm not sure I can wait and don't really want to buy the album all over again.
It's going to take me multiple listens to adjust my ears to not hearing the original cast voices, especially Rupert. It's still a great recording, and nice to have a full recording of the show, at last.

I said that when I saw the show! I turned to my partner, who wasn't familiar with the show, and said "Some of these tempos are pretty slow" to which he responded "Slow?!? Seriously? I'm barely keeping up!" So I understand why they slowed it down a bit.
