is the 42nd street tour non union also?
^ Yes. If you look at the shows that are split week or single performances, those are all non union.
I'm so interested in who is doing the Cabaret tour.

I think we're a while off on that announcement.

Glad to see NEWSIES is extending after August 2015. I wonder if it will become a second national or even non-union when the next leg starts?

I believe Disney is holding onto it for another season.
It's selling hella well. I'm sure they'll hold onto it.

"I wish shows toured quicker. Like, why not put The Last Ship out on tour? I mean it's closed, they have a long time before Sept rolls around and they'd need to put it on tour. Why not put something together now instead of in a year or two."
There are multiple reasons why it's difficult to just throw a show on the road. Financing, for one, can be very difficult, especially for a show that does not do well in New York. Scheduling is the second issue. Most presenters are booking their seasons at least a year in advance, if not more. By this point, whether they've announced or not, it would be a safe bet that all of the major presenters, and most of the smaller ones, have their subscription series for 2015-16 booked and are already planning 2016-2017. To include anything that is not a guaranteed sell out hit outside of their regular subscription series is incredibly risky for them.

Where are you seeing a schedule for 42nd St?
Split weeks and one-nighters does NOT mean non-Equity. Holly, Dolly just did a year of one nighters, and was an AEA show.
Also, "non-Equity" does not mean "non-Union" - almost every non-Equity show still uses a union crew, and most use union musicians.

This is really just way too wishful thinking, but I can't help but wonder if there is a chance JCM does the Hedwig tour. I can't imagine he'd want to do a full tour, but getting a chance to perform it for two week-month long runs in select cities seems desirable.

I saw that Les Miz will be at the Fox PAC in Riverside, California in June 2015. Does anyone know if that's ta tour or a standalone production?

I doubt it. He seemed reluctant to do it on Broadway, although you wouldn't know it last night...

Theatre Under the Stars Houston 15-16 Season:
Matlida
A Christmas Story
Bridges of Madison County
Mary Poppins
Oliver!
A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder
Don't have dates for the shows yet.
A side note - in a recent press release touting their new logo, they mentioned that they will be launching a national tour produced by TUTS. Anyone know anything about this? Could Oliver or Poppins be that show? Haven't seen any mention of either of those touring.

From what I gather, Boston will have another anemic season (the official season announcement is scheduled for March 2). For the second year in a row, it's looking like the subscription series will only have 4 shows (plus a few season add-ons/specials). Very frustrating... my hopes for the "Matilda" tour are fading fast.
Avenue Q is not touring. I hate when people play with my emotions.

It's some company called "Theatre Royale," with a broken website. http://www.mtishows.com/show_detail.asp?showid=000134
I think shows that only SOME cities or city are getting are regional productions NOT tours.

Sorry should have been clearer. TUTS does a mixture of tours and locally-produced shows. Oliver may be one of the locals. I was just wondering if it might be the start of a tour, as they did say in a press release that they will be launching a national tour. So it's likely one of those shows - but which?
The Pantages Theatre subscribers (me included) got an email today saying that they're announcing their new season on Monday the 26th at 6am (subscribers first to know by email).. 3 days away. SO EXCITED!
I'm not sure if this has been discussed in this thread before, but is the Guys and Dolls tour non-equity?
