"A Little Night Music (a remake not a revival) Desiree Armfeldt-Marion Cotillard Madame Armfeldt-Linda Hunt Fredrick Egerman-Hugh Jackman Fredricka Armfeldt-Abigail Breslin Anne Egerman-Sophie Evans (of "Over the Rainbow") Henrick Egerman-Robert Pattinson Carl-Magnus Malcolm-Christopher Gorham Charlotte Malclom-Anne Hathaway Petra-Amanda Seyfried Frid-Kellan Lutz"
Robert Pattinson? Seriously? I really hope you're joking, although I can really picture Hugh Jackman as Fredrick and Anne Hathaway as Charlotte. But Kellan Lutz, too? Can he sing? I guess you're a really big Twilight fan.
I would love a Passion revival. I didn't like the style of the sets in the original because it felt too bright. I thought I was in an art museum. I loved how the concert staging was just black and gray because, whether intentional or not, it really brought out the dark aspects and pain in the story.
BUMP! 42nd Street Peggy Sawyer- Laura Osnes Billy Lawlor- Gavin Creel or Andrew Rannells Julian Marsh- Nathan Lane or Danny Burnstein Maggie- Patti LuPone or Judy Kaye Dorothy Brock- Kristin Chenoweth or Bernadette Peters or Catherine Zeta Jones
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "
MisterMatt - like your choice of "City of Angels" and "Scarlett Pimpernall". Saw Tom Wopat in the lead role in "City of Angels" and was the first time I had ever heard him sing and was pleasantly surprised. Wonder who would be a good choice for that role now.
Radnor and O'Hara in SHE LOVES ME as they triumphed in at the Roundabout concert. It would be too much to hope for the rest of the cast as a whole, but I would hope Jonathan Freeman could at least reprise his amazing turn as the Head Watier.. Whoops - I mean Peter Bartlett (Freeman played the head waiter in the last revival and was also very good).
Replica production of Crazy for You I would love to see that choreography in person (the human clock tower and pickaxes, that i saw in the PBS taping is just amazing)
How about "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" with Patti LuPone as Domina and Lauren Molina as Phillia? And maybe Daniel Radcliffe for Hero?
I would really love to see the original Michael Bennett production of DREAMGIRLS brought back to life. Im not talking a revision but the original full blown sets, costumes, staging and choreography.
I think a new generation needs to experience what we theatergoers were so fortunate to experience in the 1980s.
The King & I Anna - Kelli O'Hara or Hannah Waddingham The King - Michael Cerveris (probably due to his likeness to Yul Brynner and I'm 99% sure he wouldnt be cast but. . ) Lady Thiang - Loretta Ables Sayre
Side Show Violet - Laura Osnes Daisy - Jessie Mueller?
And Fiddler on the Roof with Jackie Hoffman as Yente
''With the number of people I ignore, I'm lucky I work at all in this town'' - Helena Bonham Carter
I'd be curious to see if Jane Krakowski would make a good Desiree.
And a King and I revival with Kate Baldwin as Anna, of course.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Hello, Dolly! and Sweeney Todd with Bernadette Peters.
Funny Girl with either Sutton Foster, Lady Gaga, or Lea Michele.
The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and The Unsinkable Molly Brown with Reba.
And jamiekennywicked, I love Loretta Ables Sayre as Thiang! Plus I think that if there is a Side Show revival. Laura Osnes should be in it with Kara Lindsay.
Henrik- I don't know about the entire benefit cast is on board or if Far From Heaven turns out really well for O'Hara if that could postpone it, but my understanding is '13-'14 (after the 8th season of How I Met...) is the goal and the two Dear Friends have signed.
"Sing the words, Patti!!!!" Stephen Sondheim to Patti LuPone.
Side Show with Laura Osnes and Sierra Boggess would be perfection. I would love to see an a smaller in the round production at the Circle in the Square,
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "
I'd love to see a Dreamgirls revival with original staging with Da'vine Joy Randolph as Effie, Patina Miller as Deena, Adrienne Warren as Lorrell and Chestor Gregrory back as Jimmy Early.
