I mean it's kinda obvious! Lea Mihelle will probably be in it! Who do you want to play "funny girl"?
SUTTON FOSTER! i saw her concert, she sang dont rain... and it was brilliant!
"(in a sweedish accent) Oh! What a lovely T-shirt you are wearing!"- Catherine Zeta-Jones refering to my ALNM shirt at the CD signing.
Say NO to drugs and YES to Jackie Hoffman Live At Joes Pub!
"ITS THE DAY OF THE SHOW YA'LL!!"-Bwaynerd
How about we just shut up with the millions of threads and speculation and let the chips fall? If you dont like whose in it in 2 years, then dont see the show. Pretty easy.
I am confused by all this Lea talk ....she is talented but the story is not about Barbra it is about Fanny Brice...just because she can imitate Barbra doesnt mean she should play Fanny Brice...Mimi Hines was nothing like Barbra and she made it her own.....I think Sutton Foster would bring a new twist and sing the hell out of it and still make it new and fresh If you want Barbra rent the movie dont cast LEA
Gleea Michelphaba could be amazing in Funny Girl, but if she doesn't sign at the stage door, the vipers on these boards will shred her to pieces!!!
If they dont have a photo or video to post on facebook they will vivisect her. You understand, people who REALLY and TRULY love the art and magic of live theatre need a photo with a star and a signed windowcard to make their life worth living. Otherwise, what is the point of going to the theatre? Its really so simple to understand.
"The sexual energy between the mother and son really concerns me!"-random woman behind me at Next to Normal
"I want to meet him after and bang him!"-random woman who exposed her breasts at Rock of Ages, referring to James Carpinello
NO. The saving grace we have behind this production is Bartlett Sher...he'd NEVER let that happen.
And Julia Murney is not beyond brilliant. Millions of people all over the world can sing "People" really well, but singing "People" or even "...Parade" really well is not what makes a good Fanny. Get a clue...
"If you are going to do something, do it well. And leave something witchy."-Charlie Manson
Julia Murney is 41, she was far too old to play the teenage Elphaba. She is definitely too old to portray Fanny Brice, who has to be at times a convincing teenager. Even at the height of Fanny's career in the Follies, she was only 28. If a revival was on the cards, I'd rather they went with an unknown.
