the awful top of the bunny outfit is only trumped by the really awful sets.
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
I wonder how they are dealing with "Whipped Into Shape".. since they have Nikki Snelson, I would assume they are doing the original choreography for that one!
I mean... the MUNY is outside, I don't know how detailed they usually get with their sets, but I would imagine they could be destroyed in an instant because of rain or any type of weather.
Who cares about the sets and costumes- it's all about Colt Prattes-woof!!!!!! They could have no set at the MUNY and the show will still make a fortune provided it doesn't rain.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

Are you crazy!?! If it rained he'd get wet and they'd make even more money.
But Kad, it doesn't look good photographed 2 ft a way in a high resolution photograph, so CLEARLY it means they suck and can't build / design sets properly. DUH. :)
