Jackie wanted the role from the beginning and they refused to even let her audition. They weren't interested.
Their loss, it could have been her best performance to date and she might have been Tony worthy. What a missed opportunity for both the production and the audience.

Posted: 6/14/13 at 5:12pmYeah, it will close. When Raven's contract ended, Sister Act ended. When the contacts for the leads of EVITA expired, so did Evita. So, I think this will close. And I don't think anyone can do better after Lynch.

I never would have thought of Tina Fey- if she could sing even passably (she insists that she can't, and has never given any evidence to doubt that), she would be great.
Jane Krakowski though would be FANTASTIC.

I'm sorry, they wanted Joan Rivers (whom I adore), but wouldn't let Jackie Hoffman audition?
Granted, I am just inclined to believe that Joan was indeed offered the role...I am rather gullible.

Jennifer Coolidge would be amazing! I'd also like to see Kathy Lee, Beth Leavel or Jackie Hoffman.
I know she's not a name, but Sherie Renee Scott might be interesting.
