ANyone know if they will be offering a regular rush now that they have moved to midtown? Or will sporadic discounts be available over the course of the run like they offered when it was downtown?
I don't know about rush, but there are discounts. On the show's Facebook page they announced a code for this weekend only, $29. A great deal! I used the BroadwayBox code for $59. Watch the show's Twitter and Facebook for more info.
Just posted on Facebook a couple of hours ago: RUSH ALERT - a limited number of $29 tickets will be available at the Box Office this week 2 hours before each show. 2 tickets per person. #TheCometIsComing
I hope you get an answer from the show, but when I was at the box office last week signing in, there was a guy there paying for two $29 tickets with a credit card.
I think they updated their policy. Per the facebook page:
Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 The Great Comet gives you quite the RUSH. A limited number of $49 tickets will be available at the box office two hours before performances begin.
When I rushed it, I was talking to the box office guy and he said that the producers were wary of even having a rush at all because there is such a price discrepancy between the rush and the normal price. So them raising it to $49 makes sense, especially in such a small space. Even though it is a little much, I think it's still a good deal because as far as I know there isn't a specific "rush seating" so you are getting the exact same experience as someone who paid $125.
