There's quite a few LincTix offer tickets ($32!!) still available for December. The show's current closing date is Sunday 8th January. If they extend, it won't be by a lot and certainly not with this cast - Borle has Charlie.

As someone who was only young when the original Broadway production played Broadway, I have never seen a production, and don't know much about the show other than the basic plot, this show interests me. The script is in a stack of those to read in the future.
So many people say this show was a bookmark, or a monumentous show for them growing up, or experiencing. Therefore, I feel like those of us who don't have a personal connection, or a well knowledge of the show can't really comment on the possible "miscasting" of some of the roles. For example, I would never put Alison Fraser, Faith Prince, Barbra Walsh, Randy Graff, and Stephanie J. Block in a category to play the "same' role. I'm willing to see how this works out.

I was excited about this revival and cast anyway (going to last performance on 1/8/17) but after seeing this video I'm beside myself. They have to do a cast album surely.
Stephanie J Block in those clips!!! I'm so excited.

These clips are making me very excited. Everyone sounds fantastic.
I can't imagine this won't be recorded- the only (official) recordings of this material are the original off-Broadway albums, before the individual one-acts were combined into one evening. There have been numerous alterations to the score, and I would be surprised if Finn didn't make further alterations for this revival. Plus, Finn's shows generally have a good track record for being recorded.

agreed, Borle is adorable. i'm interested in hearing the changes to the score, i'm very familiar with the original recordings. i hope kad is right about a new recording!

FInally sorted out what day I can catch this, but since I haven't been paying as close of attention... did they release a good chunk of the house already, and I should grab what I want from what is there now, or are they holding back the majority of front center orchestra, and the first two side orchestra aisles until they sort out demand and premium pricing, etc.?
I'll hold if I might be able to sit closer. But if it's crazy popular, I'll hurry and lock in... thoughts?
also i hope Stephanie J sings the stuff that was originally sung up the octave...up the octave. She obviously sounds fabulous but I live for Alyson Fraser's high belting on the original recording and want Steph to do the same.
