Hello! Has anyone rushed Bright Star since they announced closing? I was thinking of rushing it this coming Saturday or on the day they close. What time did you get there and how many people were in front of you? Also, how were the seats you were given?. I've seen the show three times (it was one that I walked into knowing nothing and was very surprised) and all three times I bought tickets for the balcony (twice from Todaytix). Thank you!
I got rush tickets last Saturday and got there about 8:15am and was about 26th in line, but since it was a 2 show day so i still managed to get in and had seats in the mezzanine on the far side row C.
FYI, tonight's show looks nearly sold-out. I wonder, does the Cort have SRO?? And would they sell them??

The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
A friend got there around 8:30 for this Sunday's performance and was fifth in line.

I don't know of any show that has played the Cort recently were it sold well enough to sell SRO. Anyone know if they sold SRO tonight?

Fish in the Dark sold SRO during Larry David's run, and I believe they began offering rush seats when Jason Alexander took over. Not necessarily helpful re: Bright Star but I can confirm they've offered SRO in the past year or so at other shows.

I saw the performance this evening and definitely saw some SRO folks. I stayed afterwards at stage door and some members of the cast were really happy that it was a full house tonight.
I did rush in the morning... arrived at Cort at 9am and was 25th or 26th in line and was able to get rush tix.
My friend got in line at 9am and estimated he was #40 or so. Not sure how accurate that is, but he said there is a long line and that it keeps growing. I will update as to whether he is able to get rush later. *Fingers crossed*
Thank you all so much for all of the updates and responses! I better bring extra cash and get there earlier than I expected. I think I'll try for Saturday instead of closing day cause I'd have a better chance with the 2 shows.
is their rush cash only? Can someone ask how much SRO is? The matinee today looks almost sold-out as well as tomorrow night & the closing show on Sunday.

The rush is not cash only, you can use credit or debit cards, too. My friend did not get rush tickets today, but did get balcony. He joined the line at 9, and said other people joined their friends ahead of him, moving his original estimation from 40-60.
I just got in from attempting rush this morning. Got there around 840 and was about 55th in line. By the time the box office opened there were easily another 45 or so people behind me. Ended up getting partial view balcony ($39) for the evening performance. They do accept credit cards for rush as the person in front of me used one to buy a matinee rush ticket. Not sure on the SRO cost as both shows today still had ticket inventory available, so it didn't come up in my transaction.
sounds to me like it will be impossible to get tickets (rush or regular) if I arrive after the box office opens this weekend. my fault for waiting this long to see the show -- happy it's doing well though!

Don't count yourself out. There will always be SRO if the show is sold out.
Tonight's show looks sold-out. Any do rush this morning?? Did they also sell SRO?
