Just wondering at the moment what other shows that have hit Broadway conclude with a question rather than a statement (final spoken words). Some examples from recent memory, off the top of my head:

"Who lives, who dies, who tells your story?"

"Does this mean I can do anything, Siobhan?" (not counting Epilogue)

"What if?"

"Could this be the something that will last?"

Be More Chill

In fairness, I was the one asking the question: Why did I pay for this?

The play "Doubt" ends with the line "I have doubts, I have such doubts" which is kind of a question.

Baritone - “What if?” is from If/Then and “Could this be the something that will last?” is from First Date.

Ooh, good one! The last line, though, is "Fifty years beyond today, who else will stand for beauty in the world?".

I'm sure that was a confession / statement; not at all a question.

The Sound Inside closes with a question, but I just can't remember the question right now.  It was a most effective close to the play, however.

UPDATE: the closing line is "Would that be a better image?"

I understand your point but I took it as the nun was questioning herself about whether the priest was guilty of child abuse.

"Their adventures were over.

The sky became pink.

And then guess what happened?

Well, what do YOU think?"

The Lady or the Tiger? section of the 3 part musical The Apple Tree ends with the title question and which option the Princess picked for the audience to decide.

I believe Seussical ended with one big loud "SEUSS!" as "Oh, the Thinks You Can Think" was being reprised for a finale. Nice try though.

MISS SAIGON
“How in one night have we come so far?”

FOLLIES (Depending in which iteration)
“Whaddaya say up there?”

A few other shows don’t end directly on the question, but the closing numbers revolve around a question:
LES MIS - “Do you hear the people sing/hear the distant drums?”
TICK...TICK...BOOM! - “Cages or wings, which do you prefer?”

"When you start looking at your watch--as I do at other people's shows--you know you're in trouble." -Hal Prince

Most productions of Cats end with the audience saying "Why did I just sit through that?"
