The cast definitely came out to sign/meet friends after the matinee 4/13

Thank you!

I try not to ask the question - but I also know it’s a weeknight and the trains back to Jersey get more sparse with time.

This was a VERY vocal and reactive audience tonight, more-so than the previous three times I've seen the show. I have to think reviews on Friday will just be unanimous raves, nothing else will make sense to me for this one.

Us at the same performance yet again and not realizing it!

Yeah, this show was a BIG game changer for me and, having missed it at Playwrights, I was SO glad for the digital rush and me be able to see it far earlier than I originally planned. While it is definitely long (I clocked 3:13 last night), it was worth every minute. The actors were fantastic and they have VOCALS! I was vibing along with every song and I did not expect the singer from Arcade Fire to be the gold standard in storytelling and plot movement through song on Broadway this season. I think this just became the bar set for the Best Play win.

Win Butler? He's the singer of Arcade Fire, or are you referring to his brother Will Butler (songwriter for Stereophonic).

My mistake. I did mean Will Butler, though he was the former synthesizer, bass, guitar and percussion for Arcade Fire.

Also, some of the cast confirmed at the stage door last night that a cast recording IS happening and there will “also be new songs not seen in the show” on it.

Pulling up a random nights next month I see lots of availability.   I know few shows has been selling lots far ahead these days, but if good reviews do come, how far do people think this could extend?.Through the Summer? Through to January?

Yeah, formerly of Arcade Fire. His energy is missed from the last Arcade Fire shows. His solo stuff is alright.

Also worth noting the extreme sides of the first two rows are $59 (with fees) and, having sat adjacent to those seats last night, I don’t think very much was missed even though they are labeled partial view

I was just looking at those on Today Tix. Would you/others recommend these 'partial view' seats in G/H of the orch, or would you recommend the back row of the orch (also pretty well-priced)? I know not to sit in the first bunch of rows but not sure if G/H is included in that. TIA for any advice, all! :)

I'm so excited to see this, going on May 31. Since the score to this show is getting raves and could possibly the tony award for best score, were there any other times where a tony award for score went to a play?

Personally I still think it's fairly unlikely for Stereophonic to win Best Score, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it got nominated.  The only time a play has won Best Score was the pandemic Tonys when only plays were nominated and A Christmas Carol won.

I sat in row G, house right (three seats from the aisle) last night. I did miss a lot of the drummer downstage, and several scenes where characters would sit down on the cushions along house right were obscured. The tape reels/vu meters were also obscured. I'd seen it before with a perfect view at Playwrights Horizons, so could easily fill in the blanks, but I'd think house left would be ideal if you were to sit on a row G side seat.

I was at last night's show too! I found myself a bit annoyed at the audience for laughing so much at tense moments, especially in Act IV (not to mention there was a constant beeping noise coming from the audience every 5 minutes or so).

What WAS that beeping??? It sounded like it was coming from outside but was very annoying. Not to mention all the damn phones going off.

I found the laughter interesting. People were finding humor in parts I’d never considered funny before but understood some of those reactions.

Great advice, thanks! I think I'm gonna go with H or J extreme house left! I'm not sure what happens with the drummer and all that, but I'm guessing it isn't missable?

Something I’ve found really great to watch on repeat viewings is

Peter’s interactions with Grover, after learning Peter was the one who got him hired. Very interesting to watch it, with that in mind.

I wasn't there but there was near constant coughing throughout my show ... like -- what the heck - why is everyone sick and at a broadway show.

Okay, so I’ve seen many people sing this show’s praises. I am not one of those people, so I’m genuinely curious why people enjoy this so much. Educate me.

Great new songs. Lived in, funny, three dimensional characters. A lot to say about both relationship dynamics and the creative process.

But also, just read the first 94 posts in this thread.

Thinking about taking my dad to see this. Do you think he will enjoy this? He is not a big theatre person but enjoys Les Miz and appreciates Hamilton. I took him to see The Book of Mormon as a Christmas present (2 years ago) and he loved it.

He loves and still listens to the late 70s and 80s music. He listens to Arcade Fire, Tragically Hip, Foo Fighters and other stuff like that.

Please lmk if he would enjoy sitting through this? Thank in advanced
