Dang it, they never let the songs play out... I thought it sounded good though.
Hello, Roz!
I just came across this, too...I have been checking Amex/Broadway/Yahoo every evening for weeks now.
Hugh looks and sounds wonderful...no surprise.
i wanted more!!... i was kind of surprised when elton flat out said it was bernie's best.. has he done better?? anyways, got my tix for march..cant wait!
Gah, I'd like to give that narrator a piece of my mind...
oh yay! Thank you. I have been dying to hear the cast. Why couldn't they play the songs a bit more, I was like 'shut up Elton we want to hear the music!' lol
yeah..maybe thats what bothered me ..the narrator.
Yeah, tell me about it. I am really looking forward to this musical and just wanted to hear the damn songs.

Yeah, I wanted to hear more of the songs! From what we did get from that clip, the songs all sounded alike and pretty predictable.
However, that was with the two second clips of the songs, because of the narrator, and the dialogue with Elton and Bernie. Did we really need to see that part? I'll admit, it was interesting to get a view from the composers, but c'mon! We hardly heard any music! I myself am enticed about this show, because I like the vampire element, but if I didn't have that enticement, and only saw that video, sadly I'd have to say I wouldn't want (at this point) to see the show. But only time will tell, as we are able to hear more from this score, featuring the talents of Hugh Panaro, Carolee Carmello, Jack Noseworthy and the rest of the cast. Thanks for the link, however!
i assume that the girl in the pink is the actress who plays Claudia.
Oh, Hugh sounds fantastic. *swoon*
cant wait!! seeing this january 15th!

ok, I understand that it is just a concert and it was pre rehersals, but am I the only one who thought the young girl sounded like she was at a concert in HS and not preparing for a broadway role? I am not attacking her, just when she sings "i'm innocent and charmin," I cringed. Curious.

Better than Elton John's version.
Easily better than Elton's version.
Hmmm....
Those few lyrics to Claudia's song were horrible, and badly delivered. I agree that the girl sounds like she's singing in a high school talent show at best. I'm hoping this doesn't bode badly for the show as a whole...
way better than elton..allison fischer(claudia) was ok..not amazing

well, the "little girl" is seventeen year old Allison Fischer who does indeed play Claudia. I don't think that it is fair to judge her, or the show based on the video. A) it was filmed on the second day of rehearsal and B) they had one day to learn the tunes before getting up in front of the audience in attendence. the songs sound amazing with the full orchestra orchestrations. Some are better then others just as some sound more distinctly "elton john" which may not please everyone.
