So I'm sure there have been threads like this, but out of curiosity, what films would make amazing musicals AND who would write the score? For example, "The Devils Advocate" by Michael John LaChiusa, in my opinion, would be FANTASTIC.

The 1978 edition of "Hevaen Can Wait" or "Working Girl" but at the top of my list I would put "Jeane de Forette"/"Manon of the Spring" and "Il Postino".

I was watching Anistasia the movie with my 5 year old niece and I think with some adapting and new songs it could make a really good musical. There are a lot of great songs.

Yeh, GuyFromGermany, there was, but it seems to have disappeared. I guess as it was set in New Orleans it was scuppered by Hurricane Katrina. Just a guess.
