I hear Alisan Porter was incredible as Miriam!
Edit: ...but (no offense) I still don't plan on spending money to see it-- tax right-off or not!

Is this one of those so bad it's good things, like "Showgirls" or is it just bad? I might have to order it.

Having seen this in L.A., I can't wait to get the DVD. Train wrecks like this come once every generation.
Why do we only ever get crap on dvd?
calm down. wicked will have its turn too.
Frankly, we need more trainwrecks on DVD. We shouldnt be recording just the good stuff for posterity; we need those things that say, Hey, y'know, sometimes we screw up pretty monumentally.
<-- Saw it in Montreal, in the original French. Just as scary then, I'm sure.
LOL, i might check this out.
You know, I liked Val as Moses in the movie The Prince of Egypt.

I saw this show a few times, each time for free. IT WAS GOD AWFUL TERRIBLE. Talk about a train wreck. the audience was empty (the Kodak seats like 5000 people.) There were maybe 300 people there, and it was plain BAD!!
Acclaimed performance my ASS!!

YES! I am so excited for this. It's so awful.
While searching for reviews for this show a while ago, I actually found one that was overwhelmingly positive...let me see if I can find it.
edit: it's the SoCal.com review referenced on the Amazon page: http://www.socal.com/articles/1214-49.html

I can't wait! I might throw a party for this!
They only announced back in 2004 that it would make its way to DVD...it's about f-ing time!! I haven't seen a train wreck of a show since TARZAN...
I'll wait until it pops up on amazon used for $1.00. I have absolutely no interest in seeing this supposedly wretched musical.
Is this the show where Val Kilmer supposedly had teleprompters backstage so he didn't have to memorize his lines?
Netflix hasn't added it yet.

I was there, the telepromters were not backstage...they were in the house.
Deep DVD Discount has it, too. Artwork and bonus features unveiled: http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=PLT048369
I must admit, I'm curious...

For those of you complaining about not enough bad stuff on DVD, let's all turn our heads to David Hasselhoff in Jekyll & Hyde, shall we?
It's on my Netflix queue!
SorryGrateful - I tried finding it on Netflix but it isn't showing up for me. Can you link me?
I have already ordered it

VAL KILMER AS MOSES
Dear god this sounds horrible just by that alone.
It could be worse - It could be David Hasselhoff
