How would you rate this years Tony's?
7
That might be a bit generous.

Personally, I would have liked to have seen Chisholm or Elbrick pull a 'surprise", or "110" or "Radio Golf" win---
Fantasia's performance saved the night for me--- brought it up to a 5
Well apparantly Raul didn't win..and that alone makes it like a 5.
Yeah, I'd say 7.
Nowhere near as boring as last year
(Yay! Spring Awakening!)

Raul lossing brought it down about 5 points for me. Then Spring Awakening winning brought it up about 2. I'd say 6 total.

6 with the high points being SA's performance and Julie White's speech

Compared to last year, I think the Tonys were great (and finally clocked in at under 3 hours)!
Raul Esparza's performance gets a 10.
Performances - 8
Wins- 3
Show all together- 4 (I missed all the Tony memories bits and things like that. Last year they showed lots of clips of Tonys past, which I adored. This year was just win, speech, performance, repeat. Blegh.)

3... immensly dissapointing, except for a few wins and the clips of the non-nominated performances.
Raul didn't win. -2
Legally Blonde didn't win Choreography. -1.5
Okay now we are at 6.5/10
Orfeh didn't win but we knew that was coming so -1/2
and Laura Bell Bundy didn't win we knew that was coming too though so once again -1/2
Christian Borle doesn't win -1
Oh and Fantasia's performance was god awful.
So. I'm gonna say 4.5/10

6.5 overall.
Wins were disappointing and mostly jaded.
Entertainment value was high for the first hour, and then it went downhill after Poppins.

7 - just b/c i loved how before a commercial break like a large cracking sound could be heard and spot lights would hit upcoming performers!
6. it was laaaame.
Performances: 8
Wins: 3
Overall: 4.5
Actually, I'd rate the show a 9. I thought it was very well produced and executed. If only other award shows could be as entertaining and briskly paced. However, Raul's loss is devastating to me. Frankly, I'm dumbfounded. DHP gave a pedestrian performance in a very mediocre show. It pales in comparison to Raul's performance in Company. I'm truly heartbroken for him.

i loved the opening but some of the pefs where i little stiff.

4 mostly because of the badly written pretentious words written for the presenters to say.
Hi points: audra, Curtains, Julie White, Chorus Line, mary Louise Wilson and Duncan Shiek
Low points: Mary Poppins Medly, Spring Awakening Hodgepodge.
Fantasia (the song was god awful the performance was fine)
I'm with RockabyeHamlet, I give it a solid 3, one of the most disappointing lackluster ceremonies.
4 or 5. Except for a few performances, there was no reason to watch the show. The awards were all predictable. The performances (on the most part) were not exciting. Not bad. But not amazing. I felt the telecast lacked major energy.
