(I know I'll get crucified for this, but I don't care!)
Truly one of the most beautiful human beings I know... I love you, my dear friend. And I am so proud of you! Congratulations on this incredible success.
Congrats to FOAnatic, iluvtheatertrash, and all of Laura's BFFs.
Oh, and Laura.

Foster, what the hell is your problem? We're happy for her. Why must you poke your head into a celebratory thread and fill it with your garbage?

Her speech was adorable. "Yay, Arthur!"

I almost cried when she was giving her speech. Congrats! She is amazing and completely deserved it!
Oh, and she looked STUNNING tonight!
I'm so happy for Laura! She really deserved it for all her talent and hard work. Glad to see it payed off.
And FWIW, not everyone who posts on this thread is or thinks they're "BFFs" with her. Some of us simply appreciate her talent ~ even if this show is our first exposure to it.

SO happy she won tonight - I was cheering for her on my couch. I loved her dress, too...it was sparkly. =]
"YAAAAAAAAAAAYARTHUR!"
Laura is awesome. All I can say, really.

FOAnatic, thanks for that picture, because I had to miss the Tony's last night (nice dress, Laura!)
I'm very happy for both, Laura and Boyd...I think they both deserved it :)
Seriously, congratulations!
She's wonderful. And looked simply stunning tonight. Well, and always really.
I loved this:
"Oh Arthur! You're standing! Yaaaaaaaay Arthur!"
HYSTERICAL!

Haha, she's a very funny woman. It was wonderful to see just how much like herself she was up there.
Laura Benanti is the best Louise I've ever seen and I'm so glad she's received the recognition her perfromance deserved.

Her speech was my favorite. She looked stunning, totally deserved it, and both her and her husband look amazing together. Seems like she's got it all now.
Her speech DID make me cry. Congradulations Laura on giving one of the best performances of the year in Gypsy. Just brillant!
Congrats to Laura, I was more moved than I can say by her winning.
Long. Time. Coming. She's brilliant.
She deserved it completely.
I'm thrilled for her.
I have to say that I really didn't know much about her before seeing Gypsy a few weeks ago, but thought I'd know her when I saw her. But when the young Louise turned into older Louise, I actually thought they might be using three Louises. She really looked, sounded, and acted about 16 in those earlier scenes. When she went to dress for her first strip, and returned, she entered looking different with her hair up, but then she stepped in front of the mirror. Her shoulders moved back, her neck "grew", her chin lifted. It was as if I were watching a physical transformation right before my eyes as she saw herself in the mirror. It gives me chills every time I think of that. She so deserved this award!
Patash, I couldn't agree more. Most persausive Louise I've ever seen.
Also the first time I've ever come away thinking "Yikes, you're Rose's daughter, all right!"
I am happy she won the award in this category. I loved her performance in Gypsy. Furthermore, I am happy to see Patti and Boyd win as well. Congrats, Gypsy on winning most of the acting awards!
Very well-deserved indeed. I'm happy for her.
she kicked so much ass in this show.
i went to Gypsy for Patti (and I was not disappointed), but Laura Benanti just blew me away. I saw her in Nine and she didn't make much of an impression, but her Louise was so good. She completely upstaged the guy who played Tulsa in "All I Need is the Girl." I just watched her for that entire number.
