^Lets hope the populace was as convinced as these folks.
When will the first post-convention polls come out? Sunday?

adamgreer - 99.9% of those quoted in PalJoey's post, who I completely agree with, are considered part of the "establishment." There might be some persuadable independents who take notice but unlikely for any of the 'populace' since they outright reject anything the "establishment" has to say.
Since I made big deal of no Police Widows or Children of murdered Police I must give Hilary her due for having the Police Women speak and lead the moment of silence last night. I always knew she was law and order.
Though the classless BlackLivesMatter shouting during the Moment of Silence was disgusting and very bad taste.

It's important to remember that Trump got less than 50% of the GOP votes during the primary, and those folks only represent a small fraction of the electorate. There should be plenty of 'gettable' votes out there.

You're correct, however Trump did receive a sizable number of votes from independents and democratic/independent/unregistered-voters-turned-Republican. I do not support Trump nor do I believe he represents the Republican party but you cannot deny his populous attraction and subsequent success...

Where did you read that??? Was just scanning Deadline's top stories. This popped up: http://deadline.com/2016/07/donald-trump-speech-ratings-beat-hillary-clinton-rnc-dnc-1201795035/
It looks like Donald Trump is going to take the lead over Hillary Clinton this election – at least when it comes to how many people watched the last night of the Republican National Convention and how many watched the last night of the Democratic National Convention.
With figures in from NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News Channel and MSNBC, the ex-Secretary of State’s historic acceptance speech as the first woman to be the Presidential nominee for a major American political party drew 27.8 million viewers. That 10 PM – 11:40 PM ET coverage is down 2.4 million from what Trump and the RNC got on the same outlets on July 21 from 10 – 11:45 PM ET.
The DNC had better ratings for the first three nights, which is when I posted. Looks like the RNC did have better ratings for night four.

Shows you that even with a history-making night, Trump still garners more attention. I can't tell if that's a good sign (morbid curiosity?) or bad sign (popularity)...
Trump seems intent on proving Clinton right regarding his temperament.

People tune into Trump the same way they tune into the Real Housewives or demolition derbies.
That has nothing to do with which lever they pull once they are alone in the voting booth.
Per TVByTheNumbers, the difference was minuscule when all viewers are included:
"Trump’s speech last week drew 32.2 million people when Fox Business, CNBC, Univision and NBC Universo were added to the total, and 34.1 million with PBS included as well. Clinton gets much closer with those added in, totalling 30 million without PBS and 33.9 million viewers with it."
I'm heartened by the fact over 30 million tuned it to hear HRC despite the talking heads' constant drumbeat against her likeability.
Typical BWW. Ignoring the most important highlight of the Democratic convention:
the immaculate, flawless trolling of Melania Trump by Rep. Joyce Beatty.
Mr. & Mrs. Khan are on with Lawrence O'Donnell right now, railing against Ryan & McConnell for their hypocrisy.
99.9% of those quoted in PalJoey's post, who I completely agree with, are considered part of the "establishment."
No, you're wrong, as usual. The people in the list of quotes are movement conservatives, which means they are diametrically opposed to the Republican establishment.
Learn your conservative subgroups!

You can watch the full interview with Mr. and Mrs. Khan here. This couple is the personification of grace. I hope that some reporters do their job and challenge Ryan and McConnell to respond to Mr. Khan's comments.
It doesn't matter about the ratings. What matters is that every time Trump opens his mouth he sounds nasty, ignorant, and anything but presidential. He is his own worst enemy. Nothing any one says about him does much damage compared to what he does to himself. It's quite remarkable.
Is anybody else having strained relations with friends and family who are Trump supporters?
After Kaine becomes VP, Mr. Khan should fill his senate seat.
Caroline McCain offers a thoughtful endorsement of Hillary. She's not a Dem. She doesn't adore Hillary. But she recognizes the stark choice ahead of her. I hope we continue to see more and more responsible Republican figures speak out in the next few months.
Here we go. One of the lowest, most vile things Trump has done. Not only that, but politically inept to say the least. Keep talking, Donald. We're listening:
Donald Trump’s slander of Captain Humayun Khan’s family is horrifying, even for Trump -Vox, July 30, 2016
I have pretty well kept out of the Election debate cos( even tho the results will effect me) it 's not my home. Canada is. But I am worried. I don't necessarily approve of some of Ms Clinton's decisions' /choices, but i recognize the alternative is so much worse. And yet so many Americans have embraced Trumpisim. Why?

Vance explains a lot, and frankly, this is what the Dem's need to figure out. How to get to that demographic.
I think Hillary will win but not by as much as people seem to think and then will have to deal with the Con's screaming "Conspiracy! Theft , Not a valid election" and divide the country further. Remember it's not JUST about this election . It's about the next one too.
Good Luck Yankees. G*d bless.

Nope...just a few fellow Libertarians in the neighborhood who HATE me for coming out in support of capital punishment in limited cases as well as a flat tax at the federal level.
