I feel bad for the President, having to follow that!
He will bring his own charm .
Pbs mentioned that when Biden leaves office he will have been in an elected office for 48 years. Cheers to joe!
Right now the polls are even. Why? Today Trump stood up in front of a bunch of reporters and answered question after question. Half the time he sounded like an idiot and worse. BUT HE ANSWERED QUESTIONS! It is ridiculous that he would suggest that Russia release emails which might hurt HRC and effect an election. But, who was mocked by Obama when he suggested that Russia was our greatest threat---Romney and who reset the button in our relationship with Russia right before they attacked the Ukraine--Hillary.
Trump is not afraid to sound stupid. That is certainly clear. But he is also not afraid, Period. HRC has not stood in front of the press to answer questions in almost a year. Everything she does is scripted and it shows. In her interview with Scott Pelley she acted like she knew nothing about the DWS emails and now she picks DWS to co-chair her campaign.
And people wonder why Trump might win. Practically no one of consequence is helping Trump. Hillary has Obama, Bill, Michelle, Sanders, Warren, etc. and she is barely even. She needs to run for President. She needs to step out of her castle and show some offense. She is acting like a football team playing a nickel defense and letting the opponent make 10 yards at a time trying to run out the clock. We know how that usually ends.
Joe Biden must stay in public service. We need him so!!! He sets the bar, period!

Also...thanks PJ. I love you too.
Glad to hear that. Together, we can help make this an awesome world.
"We all should feel the bern"
tim kaine, I love you.
TIM KAINE IS JUST FULL OF SHADE!
He just did a straight up impersonation of Donald Trump and it was so freaking hysterical!
BELIEVE ME
It was delicious .
President Obama is showing right now why he may Hillary's most valuable asset this campaign season. My god he's good at this.
POTUS is somehow managing to seamlessly deliver a resounding endorsement of Hillary, an indictment of Trump, and a civics lesson.
While the thrilling speeches made by the Obamas, Biden, Booker, and others certainly warrant all the attention they are getting, the impact of Bloomberg's speech should not be overlooked. He can speak to many independents, and his indictment of Trump was unequivocal.
Overall, it has been an incredibly well run event.

"I agree with you 100% Brian, about Bloomberg maybe you are not so mad :) That was the one speech that might sway the people who do not want to vote for Trump, but are uncomfortable with Hilary. except maybe for the Bernie Socialist Wing of Party. The Obama, Bernies etc have all had terrible things to say about Hilary in the past, so they come across as not really truthful and just partyechoers. Lord knows NYC misses Bloomberg as NYC is going into and smells like a Toilet since he left
Horse, that was a cute cartoon but since both of us have totally different thinking on it, I will let it be as we are not going to convince the other person they are right, and I would rather not get in a drawn out battle. C'est la vie!
After the one-two punch of Biden and Bloomberg (the latter's speech was really, really great- and he was very smart to open it the way he did), Kaine's speech was a big letdown for me. It was meandering and lacked a good rhetorical structure- it felt endless, with no rise, no climax, no fall. He's certainly a nice guy- even when he jabs a shiv in Trump, it's with a warm smile- but, as someone once wrote, nice is different than good.
But then there was Obama, delivering a speech that will be remembered. He will truly go down as one of the great American orators. No one in either party can stir and inspire an audience like he can.
What I found most interesting about the immediate reaction to Obama's speech was folks like Nicolle Wallace and Steve Schmidt being even more effusive than the lefties.

That's because you are so used to the extreme, divisive rhetoric prevalent on BOTH sides dating back to around 2003 with the contentious Iraq War debate (and evolving since then). There used to be a time in this country where bipartisanship, compromise and moderation were alive and well in D.C. There used to be a time in this country where we could disagree with the principles and policies of an opposing political party while remaining respectful through more empathy, compassion and understanding. It's a foreign concept. This is no longer the country I grew up in.

Excellent speeches Wednesday night. The President is an orator for the ages. Weaves language like fine linen. Kaine is a bit goofy - but likable and noble background. Bernie's sullen and nearly hostile projection is just annoying!
Missed the Broadway singers last night.
Mrs Brd and I were in Chicago three nights in 1996 - memorable time. But, missed Clinton's speech on the last night!
High bar for HRC tonight,
I don't think Bernie is necessarily hostile or sullen. I think... that's just what he looks like. He has, as they say, resting bitch face.

Maybe impossibly high. Wonks know she is not a great orator, but that is irrelevant. Virtually every speaker this week has done their job to set her up. She has to overcome preconceptions and sell herself to the American people, some of whom are predisposed against her. With the incredible speeches preceding hers, she has a real opportunity to move the needle significantly, but it will not be easy. Night one's speakers addressed the progressive wing, and last night was clearly directed at the middle. She needs to do both.
Fingers crossed.
Rubs eyes, was that my girl at the DNC? Thanks for the pic PJ.
I think Bernie was finally a good sport, and it was overdue, resting bitch face is a mean thing to say about someone Kad. Bully!
Mrs. Clinton is doing just fine. Put yourself in her shoes: the first female candidate of a major party? It's amazing how unsympathetic people can be. I give her major props for her work and her orations. Women have to be tough to make it in this world. What do you want? For her to cry? Sing "Rose's Turn"? How do you like these emails, Mr. Trump?

It's a popular, albeit recent, slang term. It's not meant as an insult.
Resting Bitch Face is real, scientists say
Clinton's many strengths do not typically include personal stories in her speeches. She always brings in stories from people she has met on the campaign trail, but not necessarily her own. Soaring rhetoric is also not usually her forte. And this is not a gender issue, as Michelle Obama has proven. She has delivered many good speeches, however a superb speech is needed tonight.
I love the whole concept of resting bitch face, essay worthy. That is why I admire Kad,
that pic looks like purposeful bitch face.
