List them here:
That's Not My Name - The Ting Ting's
"Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)"- Beyonce

"When I Grow Up" - Pussycat Dolls
"Just Dance" - Lady Gaga
Miley Cyrus's god-awful remix of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun was pretty annoying.
I had no clue Miley did that. Now that I know, I have to go listen to it and then cry at the fact that thousands of little girls probably believe this is her original song.

That " Jitterbug " commercial on TV, is now driving me CRAZY #%@*&% !
Also Miley Cyrus, but her "Seven Things."
And "Disturbia" by Rihanna. Though I don't know if that was 2008.

Come on people, the top slot's gotta be given to "I Kissed a Girl" by that Zooey Deschanel knock-off Katy Perry!!!!
There's nothing worse than a fake Zooey and a fake bisexual!!!
Oh gosh, how did I forget that song? Ugh! Definitely on my list.

I was just going to post that song.
Her other song, "Hot n Cold", while not as annoying, gets stuck in my head very easily.
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
Yeah, "I Kissed a Girl" is very annoying.
I actually liked "Hot and Cold" until my 5 year old latched onto it and sings it all the time.
"I Kissed a Girl" came right to mind because it was COMPLETELY overplayed.
"Leavin" by Jesse McCartney was fun for a while, until it seemed it was played back to back with Perry.
"When I Grow Up" by the Pussycat Dolls was just annoying from the start.
Rihanna just needed to go away.
I think it's safe to say ANY song that came out this summer was annoying. Things shaped up in the fall I felt.
That song by the Killers with the lyric "are we human/are we dancer"
Oh goodness, I have to second Jesse McCartney.
"Circus"
"Womanizer"
"Single Ladies"
"So What"
Glad someone else mentioned "Disturbia" too

I'm not ashamed to admit that I love "I kissed a Girl"
The only thing that made me dislike 'I Kissed a Girl' was the fact that everyone sung it after it was released. If it hadn't been a success and gotten stuck in everyone's head I might have liked it. That sounds weird I know...
Anything by Colbie Calait (sp).
Especially her big hit. The one where she "crinkles her nose".
Makes my skin crawl.
I can't believe it took 10 posts to get to I Kissed A Girl. That was the first song I thought of when I saw the thread.
Taz, that Colbie Whatever her name is song is called Bubbly. I was going to say that one too. I can't stand that song.

No, I understand. The song wouldn't have annoyed me so much if I hadn't witnessed 12 year old girls pulling out their cherry chapstick and squealing "hahahha I kissed a girl!!" Ugh.

"I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot N Cold" are definitely annoying because they get played wayy too much. Every Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana song that came out in '08 were the most annoying songs of 2008.
Also on the theme of faux-bisexuality Zooey-knockoff, I think Katy Perry performed for New Years in Rockefeller Plaza. I was watching the coverage last night and it just reminded me how much I dislike her and especially that song. Just the whole, cherry chapstick I liked it, but hope my boyfriend don't mind it thing. Uck! As if lesbians didn't have enough problems with trendy experimenters without a freakin' theme song!
Oh and sidenote: I do enjoy when the song comes on for one reason - it reminds me of this great SNL sketch earlier this season with the new girl Casey Wilson where she played Perry in a commercial. It was advertising The Less Provocative Songs of Katy Perry with family friendly hits like
"I ate a snack and I liked it/ it was a Twix with peanut butter. I ate a snack with my girlfriend/ But we didn't do any gay stuff!" --> fantastic.
"Last Name" by Carrie Underwood
"In the Ayer" by Flo Rida
"4 Minutes to Save the World" by Madonna ft. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland
"Touch My Body" by Mariah Carey (was that 2008?)
And pretty much everything by Taylor Swift. She sounds so whiny.
