Even though this sounds like an interracial porn movie title, it looks pretty good.

I can't wait for this movie. It sounds hilarious.
The poster for it hangs in my window.
Leave it to Samuel L. Jackson to make another completely baffling movie!!
And Christina Ricci?? When did you become such an anorexic skeletor?

I think 1999, suzycat...though I may be wrong.
Haha, I knew there was a reason I stopped paying attention to her after "That Darn Cat."

I'm looking forward to checking this out, but I'm not sure if I'll get to it this weekend. I want to see Zodiac more.
I'm still deciding on this one. The sex scene between JT and Christina scares me to death.
This is said to be the best work of Ricci's career, and Jackson's best since "Pulp Fiction".
I'm intrigued.
I've only seen the trailer and it seems like a healthy dose of misogyny. Am I missing what the plot is, aside from having Christina Ricci chained and half-naked at Samuel L. Jackson's mercy for the majority of the movie?
I've seen the film, and it is quite an enjoyable dark comedy. Any questions about the movie?
It got a pretty good review in the Washington Post. I was rather surprised. There's apparently a lot more to it that meets the eye in the ads.

I'm kind of on the fence about this one. Tiff, I was thinking the same thing, but for whatever reason, I assumed there might be some more intelligent commentary wrapped up in that chain as well. I'm not so sure though.

Can't wait to see this movie...just curious about Justin Timberlake's role...big? small? cameo?

He is in it for quite a bit, but the bulk of his screentime doesn't come until later.
Saw it on Saturday... so bad it's good! Lots of giggling in the theater. I wonder if it was meant to be taken seriously?
im going to see it this week, only for Justin though. :)

I PUT NINE OF MY BULLETS
IN HIS MUTHAF*CKIN' CHEST!!!!!
Well, I saw this movie last night and found it to be a near miss. Uncomfortable mixture of allegory mucked up by worn-to-the-stump pop psychology (it actually ends with couples therapy). And very predictable to boot. Certainly not boring, though.
However, did anyone recognize the actress playing Christina Ricci's mother? Me neither, I only found out through the extras on the DVD.
That's Kim Richards! Yes, the telekenetic kid from the WITCH MOUNTAIN movies and the crimp-tageous bad girl from TUFF TURF! Apparently, Howard tracked her down because he wanted her to play the part. It's her first role in twenty years.
Ricci wasn't pleased with the way the movie was marketed.
She also has a new confidence in her acting ability, describing her performance in Black Snake Moan as 'probably my best work'. But she's determined to ensure she has a say in what happens after a film has wrapped. In her opinion the posters for Black Snake Moan - which featured a chained-up, scantily clad Ricci above the tag-line everything is hotter down south - completely distorted its message.
'I thought I was getting into a part where I could really show the gritty reality of someone who had post-traumatic stress syndrome - what we call rape trauma syndrome,' says Ricci, who for ten years has been a spokeswoman for the American organisation Rainn (Rape Abuse & Incest National Network). 'And then it's sold in this exploitative, objectifying manner, so that I look like I'm part of some 1970s porn, when I'm making a movie about what happens to a f-ing rape victim.'
Christina Ricci, the remake
I know it probably sounds disturbing, but I thought she looked hot in this. This was on TV not to long ago and I couldn't watch the whole thing. I didn't even make it to Justin's part. Maybe I'll give it another good...
