Has there ever been a more vomit-inducing singer?

My mom got me started on him, and now I love him.

He came to my city, but my mom told me she wasn't spending 60 dollars on a concert. I WAS SO MAD! We are such a small city and don't get poeple like him that I like very often, so it was a big let down.

so sad, yet he is sooo good,

I think he used to be talented... but going on tour for such a long time did quite a number on his voice. His vibrato changed, and he definitely was not singing correctly. The thing about Josh is that he was always pushing his belting voice... which was amazing, because he had a great range, but he over-worked it, and I don't like his voice as much now.

Michael Bolton was more ubiquitous -- and less talented. My sister's ex hubby once dragged us to one of his concerts. Painful, especially when he stood behind a big fan so his hair was blowing.

So, yes.

*shiver* I would've used that time to go to the bar, but sadly, I was only 13 at the time.

I think Groban's voice is basically good, but his technique is weird. Also he sings quite a few Italian arias and his pronunciation has a definite American accent. Painfully so. It wouldn't hurt him to study Italian.

I think that his voice is very pretty, but when I see him sing - there is NOTHING going on behind his eyes - no emotion whatsoever. I shudder when people suggest he could replace so-and-so in a Broadway show - I doubt he could act his way out of a paper bag, based on the fact that he doesn't act one bit when he sings.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

For me it's less of a vomit experience than a "slowly dying inside" experience.

Ah, love Josh. Saw his concert and he really is fantastic. Plus he's a cutie. I didn't care for him at first.

I don't find him "vomit-producing" but I agree with korenglish that his technique is questionable and that he's damaged his voice, which is certainly a pretty instrument. I'm only familiar with one of his CD's, but I think he'd be better off with less classical material. I don't think his voice (or his pronounciation) have the heft for it. I think he'd be lovely on lighter material that is more within his vocal scope.

You go ahead and vomit, but I love him. Although, I agree that he's hurt his voice and hasn't been using it properly.

i think he has a good voice...

and i remember hearing he was taught by some really good vocal coach that coached something called SLS (speech something... forget) so thought he would have good technique, but I dunno.

where's my shoe?

I love Josh Groban's voice, but I agree with redhotinnyc2 about the lack of emotion. I saw him at the Sondheim b-day celebration in LA, and while i was having a near-orgasmic experience listening to him, looking at him was painful. His eyes bugged out of his head when he reached for high notes, and he looked somewhat costipated. Also, next to all those other fabulous performers, his non-existent acting ability became apparent. And it said on his bio he got accepted to CMU! Either his acting ability has just disintegrated since then, or they took him just for his voice. Sill love the guy though.

I'm a huge Josh Groban fan. Ever since i saw him on Ally McBeal way back in the day i've loved him. His voice is so powerful, i'd love to see him in concert someday.

I LOVE Josh Groban! I remember the first time I heard him was on Oprah's "child prodigy's" or something like that (he was much younger) Ever since then I've been hooked.
If you do vomit, please don't do it in my general direction.

Ugh, I can't stand his voice. I cannot stand his use of vibrato. Plus I watched a taped concert of his on PBS and he is incredibly boring to watch.
