Damn, I missed the ad!
I loved the shots from the Ravens new stadium. It is their very first game in the new stadium and all the fans stuck around after the end to watch Phelps make history on the jumbotrons. Huzzah!
Yay Jason Lezak.
Good job to your agency adgal!
***spoiler***
lightning freakin' bolt, huh? 9.69, a world record and he was shutting it down 15 meters from the end!!! un-effin'-real.
Great night for watching the Olympics!
Michael's eyes are all filled up.
A true champion.
I was out doing my show but I heard people down the street cheering at a bar and I knew what happened. AMAZING!!!
OK, Michael hugging his family just made me cry.
He has been SUCH a trooper, giving all of the interviews.
I know he is exhilarated, but he must also be exhausted.
I wonder when this is all going to become real to him?!
He's so modest...how refreshing!!!

The real downside of watching stuff like this is that now I feel totally inadequate
Yawper, take a cue from Dara Torres, Jason Lezak and Constantina Tomescu, ages 41, 32 and 38, respectively. Oh, and Natalie Du Toit, who runs on August 20.
As Dara said tonight, "Don't put an age limit on your dreams."
I started to feel like that watching him swim the other day. (We are the same age.) Then I thought about all the things I am doing with my life and realized we're just different. Not better or worse than one another. Just different.
Gunny, your heart is made of gold. You don't need a medal.
Oh what a night! That was fantastic. I was tearing up ...
So sad I missed Dara's race, but so happy she won!
And Lighting Bolt - unreal.
Yawper, I keep joking at my house that we should go to a track and time ourselves running the 100 meters, and to a pool to swim 50 meters, just to see how we compare with these amazing people, to see just how good they really are!
And well done, Jason Lezak, for winning Phelps two golds! :)
I really hate myself right now. I wanted to make sure that gymnastics were included in tonight's schedule via NBC's site. Of course I forgot they are 12 hours ahead, so that stuff already happened, and now I know the results. Oh well, now I will just have to watch and see why whoever won, deserved to win.
I thought they showed the gymnastics live? They have for all the other gymnastics events.
Apparently these final individual medal events are not. From what I read, they occured at 6pm today their time, which was 6am our time. So yeah, do not go to NBC's olympic page, unless you don't care or want to know who wins right now. Oh yeah, and the rest of the gymnastics are on tomorrow and Tuesday, with an exhibition on Wednesday.
Shbrt, while Lezak certainly deserves our congratulations, I think saying the he won Phelps two golds is overstating the case. I'll give you the first one, but Michael gave the team enough of a lead last night that I think he deserves some of the credit!
