Don Rickles had to be led from the car to the...to the...to the...to the thing.
Steve Lawrence kept turning to every Jewish woman over the age of 79 (and there were quite a few!), tapping them on the tops of their heads and asking, "Eydie...? Eydie...? Eydie...?
Kris Jenner, happy just to be invited.
"traditional Jewish Shiva mourning-"
OY A BRUCH!
This is about as traditional as having pork chops at a seder.
Flowers, gifts, MUSIC? Call it mourning, grieving even as some have a "celebration" but NOT a shiva.
And SNAFU your card in the Gay Community is still valid- just not punched!

I tried to find a video of my favorite Joan Rivers appearance on SNL, but we'll have to settle for the transcript. Even reading it, it sounds just like Joan!
Joan Rivers' 1997 Fashion Wrap-Up
Melissa Rivers: [ angry ] I want to be in a movie.
lol
I can always count on Phyllis for good reading material.
That was a Tina Fey sketch. I played (well operated) Joan.

Whenever I think of Melissa I think of "I want to be a movie."
Why are we posting a lot of paparazzi-vulture pics of someone's funeral?

I think there's a causal relationship with my posting.
Nah
Hey, PJ, do you have any details on Cindy Adams' remarks at the NY funeral? Was on a long drive with a friend a few days ago and heard Howard Stern speak quite passionately about how great the funeral was. He made special mention of Cindy Adams' remarks and noted how funny and moving they were.

I think that alone deserves its own thread. Only by invitation, kids, only by invitation.
For your convenience
Ha! Though I think that is like throwing and "imagined" ball for a dog. They will catch on.
I don't like Cindy Adams very much in general, but she was hysterical. I got the feeling that she and Joan might have written their eulogies together, over a pot of tea and some Entenmann's.
Like Namo and I are planning to do.

Joan would've LOVED these edgy, outrageous bloody Kent State sweatshirts that have sold out at Urban Outfitters just in time for the company, owned by a "libertarian centrist" right winger issued an apology for it.
IflitIfloat would have HATED the sweatshirt, since she was there that fateful day, but you know.
Maybe it's a good sign that millennials don't give a crap about the scared cows of the baby boomers and a conservative company is ready to rake in the profits from that?
Actually, they indicated there was only one of them. $129. A bargain. Almost went for it but they said it had the blood stains but no gunshot residue, so I passed.

That vintage isn't faux, that's quality vintage.
Actually, no, she wouldn't.

Nah. He's right about iflit. Just not about Joan.
