The choices:
1. A Little Night Music
2. A Chorus Line
3. Nine
4. The Producers
5. Mame (WAS: Fiddler, but MadBrian objected)
6. Finian's Rainbow
7. Paint Your Wagon
NOTE: Write-ins ARE allowed.
Well, out of your list, I would say "Paint Your Wagon"
Most disappointing: Chicago. WORST: A Chorus Line.
Nine, with Rent as a write in.
Chorus Line with a write in for Bye Bye Birdie (The original)

A Chorus Line by a nose over A Little Night Music.
I am gonna have to say Nine.
RENT and NINE over Pain Your Wagon? Really?
Spidey-I admit that I'm not sure if I saw Paint Your Wagon recently enough for me to remember it.
And I thought Rent was so bad I didn't watch it through. Nine- well there are no more words. Everything's been said!
I am going to write-in Mame.
Also, I don't think Fiddler belongs anywhere near this list.
OK, MadB. I'm replacing Fiddler on the Roof (which only I hate) with Mame (which I forgot to put on the list).
Mame would have been great with Angela. Having said that, it is what it is, Is it to late to redub Lucy's songs?
lol and I'm probably the only one who liked Mame.
I liked it, too.
Rent as a write-in and from the list The Producers.
Can I add Jesus Christ Super Star to the list?

I would also like to add the popular write in Rent.

A Chorus Line 100%.

Out of PJ's list, I've only seen The Producers, and it was on HBO. Never saw the stage show, but watching the movie was like watching a stage production being filmed. I guess that makes it a bad adaptation?
I saw The Producers with Roger Bart and Brad Oscar's understudy and that was worlds better than the movie production. Broderick was soulless and Stroman was just not cut out for movie directing. Some of the scenes were just better left on the stage. The movie just does not do the stage production justice at all. That being said I enjoyed Will and Uma.
Tie:
A Chorus Line, Little Night Music, Nine.
And I also want to add One Touch Of Venus which jettisoned every song but one.
Can I vote for all of them except My Fair Lady?
"And I also want to add One Touch Of Venus which jettisoned every song but one"
How do you feel about IRMA LA DOUCE? That one got rid of the songs entirely and just used the music as underscoring.
