I feel like that bourgeois rap thing was kind of ingenious in theory but it seemed to be the same stuff repeated in each crack. That and JGL's character was like a bad PTSD trigger to his role in HAVOC (which I am sure he would be against anybody seeing again).
Tres Equis worked fine the first time, not really the second time.
Got no point of the Mumford & Sons as a Beatles cover band except to have Mumford & Sons sing The Beatles.
I'm actually really optimistic about this season - I've enjoyed the last two episodes more than I have in awhile. This week's highlights were definitely Ann Romney (I am completely changing my pronunciation of Beyonce moving forward) and the hypnotist sketch.
Kate McKinnon does a better job as Ann Romney than Jason does as Mitt. She was the highlight of a loooong Weekend Update. They could have cut the NFL bit in it, or saved it for the Thursday broadcast.
I liked the clueless voter commercial and the hypnotist sketch.
Is it me, or did the timing seem really off at the end? One sketch was clearly taken to commercial before it was over. Atlanta's NBC station plays a pre-recorded sermon special after SNL, so I guess the good Lord decided we had had enough of all that tomfoolery.
Is anyone else hoping they do at least one more Miley Cyrus Show to address the hair?
I was looking forward to it but was disappointed. The GOP thing was the only funny bit, and I turned the tv off during the sketch where JGL played the darter the parents were singing about.
WTF was that all about? It was painful to watch.
What was the pay off for that?

It seems like after years of viewers commenting on sketches that go on too long and don't have endings, they are finnaly going for shorter sketches. It seemed like more sketches in one episode than usual.
I thought the best sketch of the night was the crew stuck in space with the cat lover. I laughed so hard at Bobby my chest hurt.Maybe it was the voice, but that sketch had me in stitches.

I also liked the Bond Girls video, I guess you would call that. The opening was funny too. Loved seeing Big Bird on Weekend Update too.

Big Bird was so sweet!!! And the bond girl vid was my favorite of the night. I also really loved the British skit in the pub. But i thought the Cat in Space video was painful. I don't know how that made it to air.
I didn't get the cat in space video at all. It came third in a series of videos - it almost felt like it was added in as a time filler (like the undecided voter clip at the end). I thought the best skit was definitely the Bond girls. Big Bird was a nice surprise too. :)
SOmetimes I laugh at the DUMBEST things. Maybe it was because it was so 'out there' and lame or maybe it was Bobby's creepy voice.I also liked the Long Island Medium sketch.

I have to say Kate is impressing the hell out of me! She is really nailing her new characters and impersonations. Making me say, "Kristen two tone who?"
