I'm not a big Gaga fan, but I think she'll be a great host. She was pretty good in her scenes when she was the musical guest for Justin Timberlake.

I heard a while ago they were planning this but couldn't say anything.

I like it best when there are male and female co-anchors.

Just to note that the wig/hair department won an Emmy tonight for their work! Congrats to them!

And congrats to their make up department and Eugene Lee and his team, who also picked up Emmys tonight for their work on the show.
Big f up on that: N joseph Detullio is also apart of the production design team. This year the Emmy committee declared there can be only 3 Production Designers so DeTullio was tossed off the list. SNL is unlike any other show being LIVE and written and designed the week of. After 17 years of being included in the nominations, DeTullio was not included because of Emmy's new found regulations! Bull sh*t!
Double post sorry.
Gearing up for my 28th season!

This is AWESOME!!! she truly was the bright light in a dismal season. love her rachel maddow. Im looking forward to the new blood. hopefully it will liven things up a bit.
Welcome back SNL & Tina Fey!
So far so good! The Girls take-off was hilarious! Love that Aaron Paul came on for the opening!

SNAFU - you are in the props department for snl, correct? Bravo to you and your department. Love the job well done with the taxidermy bit.
We just doctored existing taxidermy items. Repainting eyes, making them bigger, sculpting teeth making basketball shorts etc. Pretty simple. It was the oversized carry on that was a pain in the butt!
LOVED the over-sized carry-on. Hilarious bit.
Miley Cyrus is next week's host. Obligatory twerking monologue will no doubt open the show.
I just hope she keeps her gross coated tongue in her mouth!

That was a terrific premiere all around. Every sketch made me laugh.
The only skit that didn't make me laugh was the taxidermy skit. I thought that was just painful.
And what was Fey's line in the car commercial? Something like "I gave all my babies to the well". That had me scaring the neighbors I laughed so hard.

Yep. And she thinks she killed the Navajo woman. And she dug up daddy and he's still mad.
I thought it was the best show in a long time. The much needed new blood gave life to what was a tired going thru the motions show. I'm just surprised kenan is still there. He adds nothing but I guess he's smart. Hie must see his prospects out the show are pretty bare.
I thought the Girls parody was the best. As someone who watches it, Each character nailed thie impressions. Tinas character reminds me of some girls I know too.
tina didn't do that nipslip skit though she did make mention of her nipslip emmys appesrance in the monolouge. It wouldve been cool thiugh since she got on Lindsey and Britney for their nipslips.

I crushed so hard on Beck Bennett on those phone commercials he did. I'm glad I'll be able to swoon over him every Saturday night.
The sad thing about Strong taking on the co-anchor position is that we lose her "Girl at the Party" character.

True, but if anyone is going to take over that segment solo? It's gotta be Cecily. And from what I understand, that will happen next season (pr possibly sooner when Seth takes over for Fallon in Jan).
Pretty good premiere. I don't understand why Keenan is still there either - he's the same in every skit. I have to say, now that my two least favorite actors in the past 20+ years I've been watching are gone (Armisen and Wiig) I'm looking forward to what will hopefully be a good season.
I'd like I know why, with 6 new cast members, there are 5 white men and 1 white woman. How many DECADES has it been since a black woman (Mya Rudolph not counting) was in the cast? And I guess there are absolutely no comedic Asian or Latino men that wanted to be on the show.
I think before Mya Rudolph the last was Ellen Cleghorne in the early 90s, right?
But that is a good question - it IS a very white cast.
