Do NOT tell me I should've listened for a second before cackling aloud as I fast forwarded my DVR with like five triangles pointing right?

Don't know. Not all artists are served well with the SNL acoustics. You can stream their new album on iTunes for (guilt) free.

In the "Aw Nuts! Mom's a Ghost" commercial about 50 seconds in right after the kids come down the stairs in the background there is a guy standing in only his underwear...WHY?
Anyone else notice?

I'm still wondering why in the cold open, the congressman called "Ariel Castro" by the name "Charles Ramsey". Did that seem on purpose or a slip-up?

I saw the guy in his underwear too! I thought I was just seeing things.
I guess I just have different music tastes than the guy who books bands for SNL. Personally, I've hated every band in the last two months. Except JT of course. My love for him goes way back.

The nameplates for the congressmen (except Issa) didn't match who they were supposed to be playing, either. I'm guessing that sketch had a pretty quick rewrite after dress rehearsal.

I liked the episode for the most part. I agree that I wish there had been a 2 A-holes sketch and no The Californians. I find it really weird that they do that one so much considering SNL has always been a New York show and not Los Angeles. I get people watch all across the country, but I don't care that the traffic out there is horrendous all the time or need to be reminded of that.
And, I went on a tour of NBC years ago. This was according to the tour guide, so I'm taking it with a grain of salt. She said that if a band or singer sounds bad in studio 8-H, then they probably aren't that good anyway. It was because the acoustics are really good. Those were her words, not mine. If anyone can point out how that could be wrong, I will listen.

I too HATE the Californians.
Was funny the first time. Made me smile the second time.
This 6th reincarnation is no longer even amusing at all.
Willing to admit that I LOVE the Target lady sketch.

Studio 8H was at one time a radio station where the Philharmonic played on live radio. The accoustics in the studio are amazing! So many times even the lousiest of bands sound phenominal.

did anyone see this? idid not but just read about it.
Too soon and not funny.
“Saturday Night Live’s” opening bit this weekend used beau-killer Jodi Arias (Nasim Pedrad, above) and alleged Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro (Bobby Moynihan, below) to parody the Benghazi congressional hearings, in a sketch that went over like a lead balloon. The characters were called as witnesses by a GOPer (Bill Hader) who wanted to pump up the hearings’ TV ratings. The NBC studio audience was clearly not amused.

If there is no Stefon this week I'm just going to go and... and... bite my pillow.
The good thing is they have Taran Killam.

It seems so sudden that he only has one episode left. True, Andy Samberg's departure was announced post-season, but it was a rumor beforehand.
He is, by far, my absolute favorite on the show, and I will miss his characters and energy a lot. I remember when he congratulated Daniel Radcliffe with a "You did it!" during the credits of his episode.

Any word on how they will handle Ben joining the club? I still think John Goodman should induct him, since Ben just directed and acted with him in Argo.
