My mother put the word out to her kids weeks ago that she didn't want flowers or gifts - just a card. So, being the disobedient daughter that I am I sent her flowers with a card that reads "This is a card. No, seriously, it's a card. I know it looks like flowers, but it's really a card."
She'll make noise, but secretly, she'll love it.
best12bars- wow, have fun in a Alaska!
kate2- I'll be seeing NO, NO, Nanette tomorrow also but not with my mom (shes busy).
Auggie- I saw Osage County a few weeks ago. Deanna is amazing! I hope you like it!
My mom lives in Europe so I'll call her and hope that the card got to her even though I didn't put enough postage on it (stupid stamp price increase!). Other than that, I'll be playing Broadway bingo!
Hopefully I will be sitting at home with my baby boy and relaxing with my husband. I already gave my mom her mother's day present- a grandson counts, right?
(Oh yeah, I got her a picture frame that says Me and my Grandma and a card from Brian)
Mom (and dad) will most likely come with me to strike for my show. The probably dinner.
It's official. I'm working in the morning, then having lunch and giving my present to my mom. Then I will be here at the house doing nothing because I don't have to visit my nasty grandma. Yeah, she definitely will not miss me at all. Especially with her niece visiting from Florida, who she worships. Sure, I like my dad's cousin, but my grandma acts like she can do no wrong, when in reality, she's just a normal person.
Dinner out with my dad's side of the family -- combination his birthday, my aunt's birthday, Mother's day and celebrating my new job! :)
First & Foremost -I'm calling me momma in the morning....
Then were heading to Chester, CT. to see the Pre-Broadway try-out of Jason Robert Brown's 13 at Goodspeed. I originally planned to go to NYC but I procrastinate not to get any TDF tixs and today.. the site is down...I wanted to see SAVED in NYC but the matinee shows got all sold out bec. of Friday's cancellation...besides I am sure it will be a bad idea to go to NYC...Can you imagine the traffic in CT (from New Haven to Stamford during lunch time, when everyone is having luch with their mother~I definitely wont make it to a 230 show in NYC..lol)
oh... I will call my Aunts too to greet them!
and to all the Mama's here~HAPPY MOTHER's DAY!

I'm getting my mom a card and Hairspray on DVD. I'm also home for the weekend, so I get to spend time with her.

My grandmother passed a away a week from Sunday so we will still be sitting shiva(although my mother sent me back to college on thursday since basically the one thing your grandma loved more than you was your grades, so get good ones) so not much is happening for mother's day. I'll probably make her dinner when I go home.

Visiting the cemetery.
I'll be working. My mom lives a thousand miles away, so I'll be giving her a loving phone call as well as a card that I already sent.

First, wishing a Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and "like a mom"s on here!
We're skipping church tomorrow. I'm sleeping in a little later than usual. Will just relax at home, then probably early afternoon (after the lunch crowd rush is dwindling down hopefully), my husband, son, and I will be meeting our other son and his girlfriend for lunch at one of my favorite local restaurants.
Other than that, will play by ear. I maaaaay go see Iron Man, not sure.
I'm still at school, so I'll give my mom a call in the morning, and I sent her a card that should get there today.
Then I think that I'll take a break from studying to watch Steel Magnolias.

My mom's working today until probably 7:30, so I gave her the card I bought yesterday and the flowers that we got her yesterday. Basically, the rest of the day is going to be grocery shopping, and then going out to Friendly's for dinner. If the new Indy film came out this weekened, we probably would've gone to see it since she loves Harrison so much(like probably Friday night since she was off). It was pre mother's day but me, my mom, and my dad went out to the Skylark Diner on Friday for the Dennis and Judy Diner Tour(they are popular talk show hosts on NJ 101.5)

Meeting up for a family dinner with my sister, brother-in-law and niece at a restaurant later. Since every one of her weekends in May were filled with commitments/events, I'll take her to the Broadway show of her choice in June. She still hasn't made up her mind, but she's thinking she'd like to see Gypsy (which means I'll get to go again, so yay).
