Listening right now to the BEATLES.....on this gray crummy day in NY I'm hearing
" HERE COMES THE SUN " wow I LOVE IT !
What song is your VERY FAVORITE BEATLES song ?

Hey Jude
Yesterday
Thats a really hard question.
I really like "The Beatles LOVE" album version of Because. It's beautifully haunting.
Golden Slumbers
That's hard but I would have to say my favorite is "Dear Prudence" with "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window" running a close second.
My favorite all-time song, not just favorite Beatles favorite, is ELEANOR RIGBY. My second favorite all time song is IN MY LIFE.
A Day in the Life
Gewd lawd, sir! I find it hard enough to choose a favourite Beatles *album*, let alone song! Two that spring pretty quickly to mind are 'I've Just Seen a Face' and 'Revolution', although I could probably come up with a great long list if you gave me long enough to remember them all. My whole family is from Liverpool, so the Beatles have provided a pretty constant soundtrack to my entire life. Hell, my dad was even a member of the Cavern Club during the '60s, although it was the latter end of the decade, so not really impressive at all. XD
God, SO hard... Maxwell's Silver Hammer gets a special mention, because it's my and my boyfriend's song, as weird as that is. (It just happened!)
As cliche as it is, my favorite might just be Penny Lane.
Taryn, those are my two favorites as well! Maxwell's Silver Hammer just because it's so bizarre, and Penny Lane. But Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is far and away my favorite CD that's not from a musical.
Weez, I agree it's nearly impossible to choose, but Blackbird holds a sweet personal memory for me, so that's why I chose it......
I am...not the world's biggest Beatles fan. But "Eleanor Rigby" is my favorite of theirs, followed closely by "Come Together" because it is so bizarre. So many different theories about what it's about. "Helter Skelter" is the other one I really like. Kind of weird selections, huh?

When I was eight or nine, I had a bad dream where this guy just walked around calmly killing people while the song "Eleanor Rigby" played. In the dream, I kept hiding, but every time I heard "Eleanor Rigby," I knew the killer was coming my way and wanted to kill me.
Now I can't hear that song without being scared...
This question might actually be impossible.

I always have to stop what I'm doing and listen when A Day in the Life, The Fool on the Hill, or Norwegian Wood comes on the radio. But an all time favorite? I guess I'd have to pick "She Loves You". It immediately transfers me back in time. I'm 14 and standing with a crowd of other screaming teens, waiting for the train to pull in with 'the boys' on board. At that time there was only one Beatles album out and we had all the songs memorized. We sang them over and over until that train pulled in. "She Loves You" was the winner.

It's true it's pretty impossible to pick just one song....
Tonight in Radio City Music Hall NYC, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in concert !!!!!
How I wish I could be there.... if anyone goes, please write us about it.
OH DARLING! (fave tune)
Without a doubt, although practically everything they ever did was pretty great. I constantly bang this tune out on the piano for a "warm-up" and try to croak out my best (bad singing) imitation of Lennon's singing...

Remember
" And In The End, The Love You Take Is Equal To The Love You Make "
Amen!
Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds
Yes, I know people claim it has to do with LSD, but I don't care. But, isn't it not?
Tell Me Why, for one.
For me there are two. "Norwegian Wood" is one, but everytime I visit Liverpool "Here, there and everywhere" runs through my head.
It conjours images of The Pier Head, The Ferry across the Mersey, George Henry Lee's department store, Lewis's Red Rose Restaurant, pantomimes at The Empire Theatre and scallywags chatting loudly in the street.
Oh! nostalgia isn't what it used to be!
