Sounds like the Book of Mormon tour might be going non-equity in 2021. They'll likely try and scale it down to cut costs.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
The TPAC in Nashville sent a season teaser to their subscribers a few days ago. They also printed a possible different-but-similar teaser in tonight's playbill. Below is what was sent a few days ago:
---
Just breathe. In February we won't be the only ones popping our heads out of the ground. We'll satisfy your temptation and invite you to take a gander at a 2020-21 Broadway at TPAC season that is written in the stars.
We know it's a little earlier than usual, it's just one of those things. You might call it a preamble to TPAC roaring into its 40th birthday this year. Put on your pink and cue the pomp and parade, we're another year older, and we can't wait to start celebrating with you. Not yet. Soon.

I'm sure others may have better guesses, but here are mine:
Just breathe ("The Prom". In February we won't be the only ones popping our heads out of the ground ("Groundhog Day". We'll satisfy your temptation ("Ain't Too Proud" and invite you to take a gander ("Come From Away" at a 2020-21 Broadway at TPAC season that is written in the stars ("Aida"/"Les Mis".
We know it's a little earlier than usual, it's just one of those things (Harry Connick, Jr "A Celebration of Cole Porter". You might call it a preamble ("...Constitution..." to TPAC roaring ("The Lion King" into its 40th birthday this year. Put on your pink ("Mean Girls" and cue the pomp and parade (???), we're another year older, and we can't wait to start celebrating with you. Not yet ("Beetlejuice". Soon.
While I was annoyed the Ahmanson season opened with two one-man shows followed by the BoM that has come thru LA at least twice, if not three times, I guess I'm now glad I get one last visit with Elders Price and Cunningham. (Doesn't change the fact that it still should have been a bonus option)
Anyone have word on a Boston announcement date? Usually the first few days in March but with a lot of offerings this January/February I was hoping for an earlier announcement to include the announcement in some of the subscription shows coming up.

Unfortunately, Boston always seems to be one of the absolute last cities to announce their season
Houston's Theatre Under the Stars is teasing a January announcement but no specific date yet. This season is five locally-produced shows and one national tour (ONCE ON THIS ISLAND). Curious to see if they have more tours or self-produce everything this next year. I also know BAA Houston has HADESTOWN and MY FAIR LADY for certain -- curious to see the rest.
It would not surprise me if Hadestown does mostly 1 week runs coming up, then 2-4/5 week runs in major cities. I don't think its going to have mass appeal on the road frankly. Anybody I know who attends theatre here in Boston has either not heard of the show or has no interest in seeing it. Doesn't speak for everybody of course, but for a few subscribers I know they have no interest really. Outside of NYC I don't think this show is a major sell at all.

As much as I *want* it to be Groundhog Day, Hadestown makes more sense with the clues they posted. (Feet/walking, arrow with the word Back under it, and then repeat symbol). Groundhog Day fits the repeat, but the others don't make sense.
I'm just hoping we get a decent season package in Detroit. The past couple years have been sub-par. There's so many good shows touring that I hope we get. Miss Saigon is in it's second(?) touring season right now and we haven't gotten it yet. Now that Broadway in Detroit is using three theatres again I'm being cautiously optimistic for a decent season.

reached out to some friends and Groundhogs Day doesn’t even have an announced tour right now as it is, so likely not that.
Didn’t even think Hadestown! Would be amazing to get that show so soon.

I went to a talkback at the SF Playhouse production of Groundhog Day a few weeks ago. One of the ensemble mentioned that the creators viewed their production as a test run for what they wanted to do with the show next, whether it be a tour, something with LORT theaters, etc. There's a run at (what looks like a non-equity theater) in Florida coming up, and then a large equity theater in Minneapolis this summer. I assume those are also "test-runs."
All of which is to say: I don't think there's any actual news on GHD touring, but who knows!

Could also be Anastasia by that hint. Would actually make sense.
