I have been trying so hard to figure out what POTUS (with apparently Vanessa Williams) is supposed to stand for!

POTUS is a new play. There was a thread about it a few days ago with more info and the link to the casting notice

UPDATE:
BELASCO:
Girl from the North Country Remains. NO MOVE
AINT NO MO
BROADHUSRT:
Almost Famous
THE BROADWAY:
Neil Diamond Musical
NOTE; Mockingbird not returning.
Jeez Troy, warn us before you spill tea all over this board...
So that means the Broadway Theatre will be occupied about 5 months max, right?
Is POTUS dead for the 21-22 season? It would basically need to announce and go into rehearsals in the next 2 weeks if they want to open before end of April. And even then, there's no guarantee it would sell any tickets with such a short lead-time.

That sucks, but makes sense with the tour starting soon.
troynow is frequently wrong. not sure why the mods keep his/her/their posts up?

Was right about Kimberly Akimbo moving to Broadway this fall. The notice said a Shubert theatre and the Booth is a Shubert theatre. Unless this was a lucky guess, I’m inclined to trust the info troynow has.
troynow has successfully delivered some inside scoops, but they also said that MTC was planning to replace Phylicia Rashad in Skeleton Crew, and we saw what happened there.
Might be worth noting too that sometimes "inside scoops" are correct...at the time. But then things change or fall through. Which is, of course, why they're inside scoops to begin with; because they don't announce things that aren't ready to be announced/

POTUS still on. Previews begin April 14th at the Shubert. Not sure why a public announcement hasn't been made yet.

POTUS is definitely still on! There was a last minute casting shift, but it is ON!

POTUS would be Vanessa's first time doing a straight play on Broadway correct?
I know it's selfish to limit actors but I'd hoped she'd do a musical soon.

Well she is doing Anyone Can Whistle in March.
She did Trip to Bountiful.
And Queens of the Universe, which she is a judge, got picked up for Season 2.

UPDATE
Piano Lesson moved to the renamed James Earl Jones Theatre.
Which now leaves the Longacre open for the fall following Macbeth’s run, assuming troynow is correct.
It’s an enticing house for both musicals and plays. Not too big, and not too small.
Listen, people like to pick on Troy for not always being accurate, but this thread is bearing out so far! I do wonder if The Piano Lesson takes the (now) James Earl Jones where that leaves Ohio State Murders. Troy, got the scoop?
K Pop just announced auditions with a notice saying Fall 2022.

Fall 2022 at Circle in the Square, after American Buffalo.
I received an offer earlier today to buy presale tickets for the Neil Diamond musical “A Beautiful Noise” at the Colonial in Boston. It will run June 21-July 31. Guess that means it is headed to the Hudson in the Fall.

Troynow says the Broadway after The Little Prince.

Is the Neil Diamond show a full fledged musical? Or more like a special event? Haven’t heard much about it.

It is a full-fledged jukebox musical.
