So classy and beautiful from Jonathan Groff. I am just thrilled for him.

Actress/Supporting Actress makes the most sense if youre looking to reward Hells Kitchen somewhere. Yes Kelli was brilliant but shes won before, the show is closed and never found an audience...this doesnt surprise me. Mazel Tov to Moon. Her moment with Bean got me choked up.

Not likely since she wasn’t nominated :p
"

She should have been over Eden Espinsosa and her flat off pitch singing in Lempicka!

Same here, Moon’s performance was meh in this meh show. You could tell she needed MUCH MORE experience to really lead a Broadway show

I was rooting for Illinoise, but given the other options in the mix, I couldn't be more thrilled for The Outsiders. What a great outcome for the most competitive season in years for Best Musical.

Has front of house ever been thanked so much at the Tonys. It's very refreshing.

DeBose was horrible.

Groff's earnestness and sincerity is so pure and consistent and raises the level of every performance he gives. This speech plays into that strength. Well done.

And way to go Outsiders. What a strange year.

Kelli O’Hara should have like four Tonys by this point.

The Tonys desperately need new producers and to go back to the drawing board for how to make a successful ceremony. This was a slog of a night.

Most competitive  =  slim pickings.

The Outsiders won Best Musical without winning Best Book, Best Score, or any acting award. The last time that happened was Fosse in 1999.

From producers to director to writers to host, no one who had anything to do with this debacle should ever be invited back.

All awards shows are dull. The entire genre of awards shows needs a revamp to even stay relevant in modern society.

I’m curious to know who has won a Tony for a performance in a musical that was closed by the time the ceremony took place.
