I'm glad you were the one who started this thread...instead of LimelightMike.
I am praying for across the board rave reviews for Angela Lansbury (and pans for Hunter Ryan Herdlicka).
Lovely of you to take the helm in my absence from the boards as of late, ljay, to welcome this wonderful piece of theatrical splendor back where it belongs. With that, sentiments remain, as I bestow best wishes to all involved! Ever anxious to venture to the Kerr for myself soon enough! :)
Thank you for your input, Limelight. These review threads just wouldn't be the same without you!!
Can't wait to read the reviews!

WithoutATrace, why would you wish you an actor who is in this production bad reviews?
Can we just leave this thread for reviews and responses to the reviews, for once?
That said, I wish nothing but good things for this production! Especially for Ms. Lansbury and Ms. Zeta-Jones.
...because he gave one of the worst performances i've ever seen by a male on the Broadway stage...
Best Wishes to the brilliant Angela Lansbury. She is spectacular in this production - a true gem of the earth and the best stage actress ever.

Oh, my Catherine looks BEAUTIFUL in that picture
Catherine looks beautiful in EVERY picture ever taken of her. Could she be more flawless-looking?!
Excited to read these reviews. Break a leg, ALNM.
I, for one, hope Hunter Ryan Herdlicka gets good reviews. I adore him.
Hunter Ryan Herdlicka is fine in Night Music. The character is an awkward, overwrought self-righteous prig and that's what he is playing. He scored some strong laughs at several points when I saw the show, including a well-articulated "late - or rather later Henrik Egerman" and a good "it might be instructive to observe". He's enjoyable opposite Ramona Mallory. Given the beating he's been taking on this board, I didn't see what the problem was.
All the best for this wonderful production.

Break a leg to all the cast and crew!
Here's a new NPR segment/interview with Ramona Mallory and her parents.
And a new picture of her with Mr. Herdlicka.

Wow! I hadn't heard anything about her "lineage"! How exciting for the family!
ya know, I can't tell if the clips being played are Victoria or Ramona? lol. They sound so similar.
Her "Soon" sounds lovely.
Yep! I realized that's definitely Ramona. Her voice is beautiful!

It's definitely Ramona. Her voice is gorgeous.
EDIT: Correction, it's Victoria from 1:22 to 1:54, when it switches to Ramona.

They also play some of her "Everyday a Little Death" with Erin Davie.
Wow, she looks just like CZJ in that picture.
