Well, at least many are getting their Broadway debut credit thanks to this. Otherwise, it’s very unlikely it would happen in a traditional play or musical. Kudos to the old mantra of “it’s who you know.”

Right. Because if Jimmy Fallon, or John Mulaney (who has a Broadway credit), or Aidy Bryant were itching to do an extended Broadway run in something --- no one else would have given them a chance? Not quite sure who you are referring to --- most everyone who has done or will be doing the show already has Broadway credits.
"Fallon’s brief stint in the production – his one-week performance ended February 2 – saw the weekly grosses jump by a huge 46% over the previous week, landing at $2,080,707, easily topping the Hudson’s previous house record for a play of $1,708,653 set by the 2022 Sarah Jessica Parker-Matthew Broderick production Plaza Suite."
"The late-night talk host’s appearance also seems to have driven up ticket prices for the show: The average ticket price was $268.69, twice the price of nearly every other show on Broadway, including big musicals like Gypsy starring Audra McDonald and Disney’s The Lion King, though the latter was surely impacted by Broadway’s two-for-one Broadway Week promotion, which draws families."

He hosts the Tonight Show. He’s hosted a game show. He’s written multiple children’s books. He is a regular panelist on Password. He had a haunted house called Jimmy Fallon’s Nightmares in Rockefeller Center last year. He’s popular.

I saw it tonight for the first time. LMM did the opening bit. David and Tim were the pirates. LMM and Annaleigh did the noir baby bit. David was the devil to LMM's agent.
Overall it was charming enough. But I had a deeply discounted ticket, and I don't know how I would have felt if I'd spent real money to see it.
