To star with Marian Seldes in "Deuce" by Terrence McNally. Directed by Michael Blakemore, it starts in April at the Music Box Theatre, with an opening set for May 6. The play is about 2 retired tennis stars who made up a championship doubles team.
It is produced in conjunction with Primary Stages.

Now this is something to truly get excited about - April won't come fast enough!
The article says Primary Stages, actually. Not Playwrights Horizons. But thrilling news!

Can't wait! I love Terry and Angela!!! It's should be great!
Wow, now THAT'S news to wake up to!!!
Oooh! Very exciting indeed!
mmmm! This should be a wonderful show! I loved Angela twice in Sweeney Todd, and I also saw Marion in Deathtrap and the Charles Busch Mame (she was hilarious). I'm SO looking forward to this night at the theatre.
This is worth flying to New York for.
Now all we need, is to get her to do "The Visit".
No kidding! I will most definately be catching a plane and take a trip to NYC in May!!!

Or Madame Armfeldt in the "Little Night Music" revival>
It's thrilling to have these two ladies back on stage.
I just hope Terrence has written something worthy of them.
His last two efforts - DEDICATION and SOME MEN - have been weak sisters, the former given life only by Seldes & Lane.
This is incredible news! My one and only chance to see Angela on Broadway. I really hope this happens!

Yet ANOTHER reason to move to NYC for a while....
I'm going to have to declare bankruptcy by the end of this season.
Any word yet on if it is limited or not? If so, how long will it run?
She could be five time Tony winner by June. What excellent news!
Is this on or off Broadway?
This has made my day, week, month, year!!! Can't wait!
Which one will be playing the self-loathing homosexual?
It will be on Broadway at the Music Box, as per Riedel's story.
Was this the show that they were considering Zoe Caldwell for at one time?
eta: yes, it was

This season is shaping up to be the best in many years. So fantastic!
Looks like I'm going to have to do some stage door stalking...I have playbills from DEAR WORLD, MAME, SWEENEY TODD, and GYPSY I would love to have her sign.
