Wow, who knew that mentioning menopause would get posts deleted!

Really? Who deleted your previous comments? Admin?

These moderators sure are strange with the things they decide to delete. Not sure why mentioning menopause would warrant a delete...

It always is strange when a particular post disappears. Casual racism is usually okay, but mild sexual, or apparently even reproductive, humor seems to be off the table.

I didn't see the original post but perhaps it was deleted if it included speculation about another person's body and personal health - which most of these posts do. This whole thread is walking a tight rope I think.

It's all speculation at this point, but I wonder....why would the producers suddenly want to change the seating arrangement on the stage? Perhaps it's to re-stage a certain part of the show that is probably not recommended for pregnant women....

My post and dramamama's posts were fine. I guess they were deleted because someone else made a stupid comment about what age women reach a certain stage, which we replied to. Is that vague enough, mods?

That's a good point, even if Audra is pregnant the show might not be cancelled!
True for Lady Day but Shuffle is a whole different story.

I'm guessing it will be fine until she leaves for Lady Day, but I doubt she will be back. But all this is based on the if and its a very big IF she is having a baby!

This makes more sense to me. I didn't think a stupid comment regarding the subject would have come from Dramamama or you Neon.

"I bet Will Swenson is the father."
Broadway's Will Swenson?!?!?!
I didn't see your comment Neon, but even the first post mentioning it, while ill-informed, wasn't offensive. (Funny they don't mind speculation about her possibly being pregnant, but talk about the other end of reproductive abilities....eeeewwwww.) baer

I didn't see the deleted posts but my first thought was along the lines of being surprised at a woman her age having a child. But obviously huge congratulations to her if she does!

I just love how those asking others to calm down are the ones that need to calm down.
WickedGinger was discussing and wondering what was going on. That is what a discussion board is for!
If Audra is pregnant and this is the reason all of this is going on then it's a pretty solid reason and maybe they can work around it.
I don't think they'll cancel Lady Day. They might get someone else to fill in - Uzo Aduba had a successful stint in London recently. Maybe she can fill the seats IF Audra has to step out for whatever reason.

It's a challenging role to step into though! That style of singing and the show is emotionally draining for the actress. It might be hard to find someone. But it is being sold as Audra McDonald Six Time Tony Winner!

If Audra is in fact pregnant, she can step into Funny Girl to replace Sheridan Smith to do a very authentic 'his love makes me beautiful'
That was a good one. It may not fly if they took this number out of the revival.

Exactly. I'm not saying we should be discussing Audra's personal life at all but I find it bizarre that people are fine with pregnancy being talked about but whenever it's menstruation, menopause, miscarriage or abortion it all of a sudden has to be deleted as quickly as possible. Adds to the stigma of it all that Laura Benanti talked about when she had her miscarriage.
