Im sorry if this was already a post.
Which show (today and in the past) do you think had the best dancing in it (from what uve seen or heared, or if uve seen the movie)? I dont mean specials though. Like no Riverdance or Movin' Out (although both featured GREAT dancing).

"WICKED!"
See, you're just provoking people. No one discussed Wicked until you brought it up. Completely unnecessary.
Topic?
42nd Street has the best tapping I've ever seen.
Contact
OMG people............FOSSE. The geinus of this man is like no other and the show showed it perfectly.

I love 42nd Street's dancing. Especially that opening number.
I really thought that Noah Racey's Dancing was amazing in Never Gonna Dance. I truly enjoyed that show, and it definitly surpassed my expectations.
42nd street, jesus christ superstar, and if rent had any dancing-it would be good too! (kidding)
42nd Street
Wicked is more about the singing and acting rather than dancing. In fact, Wicked isn't filled with dancing as much as 42nd Street is revolved around it.
most definately movin' out and 42nd street...i mean they are the most strenuous shows for dancers. they are dance filled and its all very energetic choreography....Bombay Dreams actually has a real lot of dance and its creatively done.
ummm, I am a huge Wicked fan, but as a dancer I would say that wicked had some remarkably BIZARRE choreography. Did you ever actually watch the dancing chorus in the background. It looked ok for just some noise behind...but as an individual entity, the dancing just looked awkward to me. Any dance/choreography experts care to share their insights?
eeks, accident...sorry

I don't know where I was - - I just saw WICKED on Wednesday and don't recall any dancing except at the Ozdust ballroom, and that was no big deal. Where was the dancing in WICKED? Don't get me wrong -- loved that show and would see it 10 more times in a heartbeat -- but I don't remember it at all as even a dance-intensive show, let alone the best dancing show ever...?
i'm not counting shows like Movin' Out or Contact, etc.
genuine musicals.
i thought Stro's Oklahoma! was horrendous.
once again Susan, not everyone needs to do backflips!!
