The worst single evening in the theater in more than 50 years of Broadway!

Gymman, for someone with your profile picture, I would have assumed a graphic of Comic Book Guy for your response...I mean, it's how I read it in my head

Don’t you go much?
I wonder if they’ll perform Love Changes Everything as a duet like that in the actual show now or if that was just for this promo performance. It’s reprised several times in the show. I assume those will stay. I’m very curious to find out what changes they’re cooking up.
I'm not a huge Michael Ball fan - and Love Changes Everything isn't my favorite from Aspects (mostly because its been over-done and is better when performed with a bit more restraint) - but I'm excited for a revival of one of my favorites and the new guy Jamie Bogyo has a nice voice

My favorite track from Aspects is "Mermaid Song". And I agree that the new guy has a lovely voice; I thought it well-suited to the song.
More than most...over 500 shows, and it's still the champ!

It's an ALW score so that goes without saying. That said, I have loved the show very time (3) I've seen it.
They've released a video featuring a portion of "Seeing is Believing" from the upcoming production. The orchestrations have been redone (though very much in the spirit of the original), and I think they sound better than ever. Based on the video, I'm hoping there will finally be another cast recording!

Officially excited... and from the looks of that, they're already recording the score - with the orchestra that Aspects requires (sorry not sorry, 2 pianos and a string doesn't work)
They could just be recording promotional tracks.
Gorgeous! The woman playing the timpani gave me goosebumps.

Thanks for the new clip of Seeing is Believing.
It is one of my favorite songs from the show and it will be hard to beat how Michael Ball sings his part. In this old clip, he sings it with Ann Crumb substitute Susannah Fellows. It is blurred but the sound is OK.

Michael and Jamie singing LOVE CHANGES EVERYTHING as a duet.
This show is supposed to begin performances tomorrow 5/13. Anyone planning on attending one of the first few performances this week?
In the OP, it says "Love Changes Everything" was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic. It's a beautiful song, no doubt, but it was never considered a 'hit' in America.

I'd say it was a "hit" as far as musical theatre songs go -- which is a very limited spectrum.

Yes.
I am very keen to read reviews of a show that left me emotionally drained when I saw the original in London many many moons ago..
The story, the music, I was so absorbed that I couldn't leave my seat, the tears wouldn't stop.
I hope the magic still remains.

I've recounted numerous times on BWW that this was the first musical I ever saw, and got me completely hooked on ALW. Never had experienced an "opera" before (I was in high school) and the sweep of the music and stagecraft was so seamless that at intermission I was shocked that over an hour had flown by. Was similarly absorbed. A few years later in college, caught the tour (after making a group of friends with a car take a 4 hour car ride to the Kennedy Center in Washington DC) and was still enthralled with the score. My girlfriend at the time had never heard anything of the score, but I remember her after the show with tears and being somewhat speechless saying "it was so beautiful."
I don't see myself being able to make it to London this summer, didn't realize it was a limited run. So I'm hoping that lightning strikes and it takes off again to at least make a new recording and maybe possibly a film of the production?
It would be great if they did record and or film it. Especially if this revised version becomes the new licensed version of the show. It's also one of the few major Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals that isn't very well known outside of "Love Changes Everything" perhaps because there's really just the one cast album and no filmed version of it. Most of his other shows have a movie or filmed stage version or both.

Heck, even "Jeeves" has a filmed production! I've never listed to the score, but I would be interested in seeing a filmed performance.
Oh my God, this was gorgeous. I've been waiting so long to finally see a production of this and I couldn't have asked for a better one than they have on at the Lyric right now. I can't recommend this revival enough if you're planning a trip to London this summer.
I have so many questions! How does it work with George singing “Love Changes Everything?” Is it still the opening number or has the song been placed elsewhere in the show? Has Andrew Lloyd Webber written a new song as teased in the press release? Are there any major changes or restructuring of the script? Also why is Jamie Bogyo calling the show “A$$ and Pecs of Love” and is his disrobing integral to the plot?

This makes me very excited for revision I was leery of. Any idea if there will be a cast recording?
