Saw the show again today, let me just say that Betsy is PHENOMENAL. She sings the hell out of the score, her acting is incredible (especially for being very new to the role) and the last scene in the hospital, which IMO dragged with Jessie felt very alive today. What Betsy brought to the role was great! Also, Charity Angel Dawson was great as Becky, she really played with the comedic part of the script (Which is my favorite part of the otherwise bland script) Chris Fitzgerald still gets the crowd screaming...Overall the show is in great shape and Betsy is by far my favorite Jenna!

How did she compare with Sara, if you saw Sara? Betsy Wolfe seems a little too much like an ingenue to be believable as the down-and-out Jenna. I saw Sara twice, and Jessie, and Sara brought an earthy sense of humor and likability to the role that eluded Jessie.

^maybe she wants to see Betsy, but doesn't know if she is as good as sara
Poisonivy2, trust me Betsy is VERY likeable.

Well y;all have convinced me to buy a ticket. I'm seeing Betsy on July 22. I want to see Drew Gehling and Joe Tippett as well.

When the score allows her to belt, she goes for it and sounds amazing. I think there are still a few bits where she's finding the character, but overall she was in great voice. I didn't like her "She Used to Be Mine" as much as Sara's or Jessie's but I think it will be there after a few more performances.
Chris Diamantopoulos had a funny flub last night where he dropped the prescription he is supposed to give Jenna into the first row of the audience. He got the person to hand it back to him and said "thanks nurse!"
Overall I was really impressed how fresh the show felt this long into the run. Christopher Fitzgerald really deserves major kudos for keeping his part as funny as it is. He still steals the show and the audience loves him.
I liked Joe Tippett more than I did at ART and thought he did a nice job. I'm thrilled to see this show doing as well as it is and thought Betsy was great. I may have to go check her out again later in her run!

Is there any speculation on when Fitzgerald will leave? I saw him in Young Frankenstein back when I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL and just ADORED him. I just bought tickets for Waitress for late Oct and would absolutely love to see him in something again!!!

Going to get tickets to see this in October. Does anybody know if there are other coupon codes going around? The ones I'm finding are only valid through September.

Unless a big star gets cast in October, a new code will be out eventually

Yes according to the official website Jeremy Morse is now Ogie. I wonder why Chris left and there was no announcement, considering how long he's been with the show and how popular he was as Ogie.

Christopher Fitzgerald is just taking a short break. He'll be back on August 15.
Chris is on a month long vacation, so Jeremy is his official "temporary replacement". Chris should be back sometime in August.

This piece was obviously put together a while ago since Chris is still there as Dr. Pom instead of Drew who has been there for a couple of weeks already.
If anything, Betsy's voice is even stronger today than when she started. It's been fun to be able to see so many different Jenna's since this show started.
I saw her last week. While I think she has a beautiful voice I didn't find her Jenna dramtically convincing at all.

Today is apparently Dakin Matthews' (Joe) last performance.
Anyone know when Betsy will be departing the cast? Sorry if this has been answered. :)

Adding onto that, does anyone know how long Drew Gehling will be in the show? I'd heard Roman Holiday was going to be on Broadway at some point, but seeing as there hasn't been an announcement yet, am beginning to lose hope of catching him in that. Would love to see both him & Betsy when I'm in the city for flea.
Betsy will be out of the show September 12th and 13th https://mobile.twitter.com/betsywolfe/status/906988906494746624

And the super duper fabulous Stephanie Torns will be in. Love Betsy but whoohoo!!!!!
Have they announced yet when Betsy will leave the show to start prepping for Carousel? I'm asking because I have tickets to see the show on November 12 and wondering if I'll be seeing her or the new person.

She was seen on twitter yesterday responding to someone saying see you in November and she said yes but she was missing Nov 17 as she'll be singing in Carnegie hall that night. So barring last minute stuff, she should be there on the 12th.
My feeling is that she's here through New Year's weekend.
