Hello, dead of winter. Numbers dropped dramatically but they're 7% higher from this time last year.
Happy trails to Megan Hilty and Jim Gaffigan.
ALADDIN, shockingly, with our lowest ATP of the week.
LIBERATION seems to be finishing up strong!
Seems to have been a mistake to bring in All Out

Considering it's just a celebrity stage reading, this kinda got what it deserved.

The names they got weren't quite as big as the ones that featured in ALL IN. With the right faces this easily makes $1-2 million a week.
CHESS still holding pretty strong.
Definitely surprised at LIBERATION going in for a strong finish. Good for them!
I’m actually shocked that Megan’s final week at DBH wasn’t completely sold out, but maybe people really wanted Megan & Jen as a set. Makes me really curious to see how Betsy will fare as a replacement.
Maybe Broadway Week will give everyone a bump when it begins on the 20th, but otherwise it’s looking like a really bleak winter.

Yeah, the fact it is on TDF for much of this month says a lot.
I will say I'm encouraged by a lot of these seating capacities despite the big winter drop-off.
Hopefully this leads to mostly-full houses for Broadway Week.
All Out definitely not the money-printer that All In was. But it's also a production I have heard basically nothing about from anybody and they also seem to have decided not to bring critics in. They're doing basically nothing to garner interest.

This past weekend was Liberation's original closing date, so that likely boosted the grosses. Let's see how the extension goes.
Glad to see Ragtime still made over a million in the first week of its extension.

The celebrities in the show are doing the legwork for them - name recognition AND plugging it whenever they have an interview or something.
The decision to not invite critics is not surprising. This is summarily weaker material than its predecessor, and the last time they invited critics, they got raked over the coals as a blatant cash grab once everyone bought their tickets and the jig was up. I can only expect the reviews would be even more hostile this time around because they had the audacity to do it again.

Pretty sure I've seen it on TDF every week

and still soldout.
How much longer for & Juliet & SIX?
I checked in on “& Juliet” and “Six” a couple weeks ago. I’ve talked for years now about how much I love “& Juliet” but god, the show is in rough shape. Everyone just seems to be going through the motions and it’s just not at all the good time i have every time I’ve ever seen it. “Six” is in slightly better shape but they still need someone to come in and tighten things up over there. Walked out of both for the first time being pretty disappointed in what I had just seen.
In general, these are not bad numbers for January. The touristy shows drop big as expected. I don't think there's any imminent or abrupt closings on the horizon but I do think the next stretch will include & Juliet, Six, Moulin Rouge and Hell's Kitchen. All with long runways from announcement to actual closing. Maybe Aladdin too depending on what Disney wants to do with some of its other irons in the fire.
But there's nothing that seems to just barely be hanging on, which is a good thing for January.

I agree with the above.
If you get through the Winter, then Spring/Summer will be a breeze, so I would expect open ended shows to make it through to Labor Day.
