"only $138". *facepalm*
I'm actually curiously surprised and happy to see Kinky Boots doing well again. It has been bringing in decent numbers in 2017. Remember when people were ready to see it close last fall?

The Nederlanders are co-producers, no?
Does I feel like SO has more of a chance at the Tony awards than In Transit, so I doubt it's closing anytime soon. "
The Nederlanders are LEAD producers.

Not quite sure. As I hit the post message button, it said I had a bad gateway connection. I tried to reconnect several times, finally getting back in. The glitch caused my post to be repeated twice.

I was very impressed with this! Good for them!
Dolly is definitely a force to be reckoned with!
And no more can be said about In Transit, On Your Feet and Significant Other. I feel like Gloria should have some sort of dignity and end it now....

I saw Kinky Boots on Saturday mat. The place was packed. Don't see it closing anytime soon

I'm always impressed with how well Chicago does. It is the biggest roach on Broadway, and is still making a lot of money. Who's buying tickets to that??
Also, what in the world is In Transit doing. Such a waste of money, and a theatre.

And Andrew Lloyd Webber has the #7, 8 & 9 of the top 10 gross earners this week - Sunset (with only 7 performances) - School of Rock followed by Phantom (Cats coming in at #15 with close to 900 K ) happy for ALW after all these years, finally not only winning audiences over, but getting respect from the Broadway community

Chicago these days is in great shape. Broadway gets people from all over the world. For many it is still their first show. I get its appeal and understand why it is still around. The roach comment is nasty and unnecessary.

Also, i'm impressed with War Paint's numbers. They are doing really well.
And I don't understand. On Your Feet made a lot of money. How much does that show cost?

Wow, my apologies for the multiple posts. True irony is that I'm seeing Groundhog Day tonight. Guess the BWW app shares my excitement.

Tony Yazbeck went back into Chicago last week, maybe that was reason for their bump? I'm not a big fan of Chicago but I am going to try to see it again while he's back.

For the first 8 weeks of the year -- both starting with the year end holiday week -- Chicago YTD grosses are up by 90% (that is right) and Kink Boots by 50% over 2016. That is mindblowing for shows in their 20th or 21st year and fifth year respectively.
Maybe Chicago WILL run 10,000 performances. And if it succeeds, the next ridiculous target will be to double A Chorus Line's original run to get even for its disrespect in 1975!

Wasn't there a similar question last week? On your feet grossed roughly 600,000. It didn't make make 600,000. Plus 600,000 is only 38 percent of their gross potential.

Jake was out on press for his upcoming movie. The 10 week run is really only 9 :)

No it didn't. It costs more than that.

It's starting to seem like Phantom, Chicago and The Lion King have cracked the secret and will never actually close. It's just exceptional that the three longest running shows in Broadway history are all not only still open but doing incredible business. My cynical side says, "Make room for some more new shows!" But the warmer part of my heart is dazzled by producers' acumen.

I would add Wicked to that list as well, but I think Frozen may take a big chunk of Wicked's thunder. (yikes mixed metaphors)
