Thanks! I really needed this and have other questions that I can't recall at the moment, excepting one... Pascal. How do you pronounce it? No, I'm not joking. I have no clue. I never talk about Adam offline and so I've never had to say it.

PasCAL. Like in French. Not Pascle like circle. Remember the RENT blog video with the controversial t-shirt? Go watch that -- you can hear him say it.

Did you ever take advanced algebra and have to learn Pascal's triangle? That's how I figured it out.

How about "D'arcy"?

I had such an issue when I learned about Pascal's triangle. I kept smiling and spacing out.

And there's me thinking I would get stoned for posting stupidity.
I guess there's no stupid questions...

See, when we did Pascal's triangle, it was always pronounced PAS-cal, as opposed to Pas-CAL. But I know better. re: Broadway names pronunciation

Is the "g" in John Tartaglia hard or soft (if that's the right way to ask the question)? Is it pronounced the way that it is spelled or is it Tar-tal-ya?

The proper Italian way to say it would be (I think) "tar-TAH-lee-uh," but in America most people will probably pronounce the "g."

And regarding Zeljko Ivanek, I think it's "ZEL-ko ee-VAHN-ek," but I could be wrong.

I still get confused how to pronounce Ute Lemper's name.

I'm pretty sure it's Oo-ta. But I've also heard Oo-da.

Now for the should-be-easy-but-people-say-it-wrong-all-the-time ones:

Heather Headley- Heed-ley or Head-ley?

Lea Salonga- My Phillipino friend says "lay-a sal-own-ah". However, maybe people say "lee-ah Sa-long-ah".

Any thoughts?
