Three EXCELLENT choices. Very excited about this, but I'm meh on O'Brien directing.
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
We're getting revivals of Carousel and My Fair Lady in the same season. Dying inside from the joy. I'm personally also looking forward to the inevitable grudge match between MFL and Carousel over which is better.
While Jack O'Brien's track record has been pretty inconsistent as of late, let's not forget that Joe Mantello's track record was pretty much similar until being paired with Scott Rudin last season with The Humans and Blackbird. Not to mention Jerry Zaks hasn't delivered a home run on Broadway until Hello, Dolly! (another Scott Rudin production) this season.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

Here's where I would have preferred a fresh face for Julie and Jessie Mueller is not my favorite performer, but ah well. Excited for Renee Flemming though!!
Love these actors, LOVE this show, but not together. Jessie seems too strong and powerful and big to play Carrie and all I hear about Jack O'brien now is the charlie revival... I'm very excited about Renee Fleming though.
This cast is fantastic, but was anyone else hoping that the Lyric Opera's production with Laura Osnes and Steven Pasquale would get a Broadway run? I know, my head is in the clouds, and there wasn't any chance even before this was announced, but when I read the title of this thread, that's where my heart went.

You're definitely not alone with this! I had been hoping for an Osnes/Pasquale duo on Broadway since that production now almost two years ago... but all things considered, I'm quite happy with performers like Mueller and Henry at the lead.
I thought Jack did a great job with The Sound of Music, but i'm just sick and tired of Carousel honestly. Excited to see Mueller, Henry, and Fleming in this though. But not dying to see it. Also agree, wish it was Bart Sher.
