Does anyone have any insight into the best way to score two comps? Any advice would be appreciated.
Your friend gets those. 🤣
A friend knows Jackie Hoffman and the 3 times he went, she gave him comp tickets.

Babe just walk in. They'd be grateful for the company.

Checked to see who's performing now and Telecharge is now only selling tickets through August 16- so they shortened the run by three weeks

Any updates on discount tickets for this? Would love to catch the 5p on Thursday 6/25 but the tickets are still kind of steep for what they could probably be getting.

I mean, where are you looking to sit? It’s at TKTS and on TDF every day and I’m sure they have a rush policy (and they have a lottery online)

The show is now closing this Sunday.

Well I’ll be damned.
I mean, the Shuberts wanted something in their flagship house. It was thrown together so fast and the quality so middling that nobody cared.
Eh, I was in the front row for free and got to meet Jeff Hiller, Mario Cantone, and Bruce Vilanch

last minute addition for the summer season. no promotion and anyone who attended received comps. Otherwise, there would have been 50 people in the audience. What a BOMB!! This would have flopped off-Broadway.

At least Kathy Griffin will get to go on. She's been talking up her "Broadway Return" on her YouTube channel.

She needs to STFU. I love Kathy. Seen her live since the 90s and I was beyond supportive of her during her cancelled era but about a month into what was a glorious Tuesday YouTube show, I unsubscribed and unfollowed her on all her social media platforms. Her constant reminding us that she was the first celebrity cancelled and how she was on the no-fly list, etc just got to me. Okay. We heard you. Even on talk shows and podcast appearances she always leads with all this. Geezuz, woman. STFU.

You're really the rare person whose 2 cents makes things worth less.

Was this really the Shuberts only option?? I suggested a limited engagement remount of A Chorus Line. These things that get thrown together last minute truly hurt the Broadway brand and are a bad look for everyone. Very embarrassing

If you have $20 million lying around, they will let you remount any show you want.

And considering the last revival 20 years ago was essentially dismissed as a facsimile of the original and a museum piece, half-assing a revival with a higher price tag would NOT pass muster, especially for an anniversary production.

I’m sad this is closing because I had a blast and laughed a lot at this “show.” However, I get it - people expect spectacle, and this show isn’t that.

Who did you “suggest” this to? Is Bob Wankel taking your phone calls now? Or did you and Broadway Flash toss some ideas around in your padded cell?

I saw it last week and loved it. I had seen it off Broadway at the Triad many years ago. Great performers including Catone, Broderick, Tate Donovan and a great Celine impression by Rita Wilson. Too bad it’s closing but the weekly cast changes probably did not help selling tickets.

The public is understandably getting very conservative with how they spend their theater dollars. I think they’ve hit the wall with higher prices for celebrity shows unless it’s a great show. This being mounted on Broadway was an insult.

It was thrown up last minute with no fanfare and barely any marketing. I haven't seen any presence of it on my social media feeds, either in the form of ads or people attending. There's certainly a world in which this could have run- god knows tickets were affordable- but there seemed to be no attempt to let people who weren't already standing on 44th street know it was even happening.

As someone who had spent a lot of time on the CATS line, the people ON 44th Street didn’t even know this was happening 😂
I remember one afternoon watching Andrea Martin bike up to the theatre, tying it to a street sign, and then trudging to the theatre looking like she was about to start a shift at the TSQ Taco Bell

Are you sure this wasn't outside City Center for High Spirits? Ms. Martin was over that nonsense 😂

I saw Jackie Hoffman walking to the Lyric with that exact same expression toward the end of the On the Town run
