it was addressed the other day, but TINA is finally up at TKTS for tonight(40% off).
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Hadestown, unlike Tina, appears to be selling fairly well for the winter.

How does this work? They’re still getting paid, right? I mean, it’s not their fault that someone else gets sick and forces a cancellation. Or do shows say that because they’re not working, they’re not paid?

NY's sick leave law was amended to include Covid-related absences. I didn't see a carve-out for contract employees, so unless it was addressed in the agreements between the League and all relevant unions, they are likely required to provide pay for any mandatory quarantine period.
As for performance cancellations, that would likely be similarly addressed in those agreements. However, usually the only reasons for non-payment in those general work contracts would be either an act of God, weather, or riots.

Curious who it is since there's none listed in their Playbill.

I was also flying in from OKC for this week, but cancelled when I saw all of my shows being cancelled. Now i see that all of my shows (Hadestown, Moulin Rouge, Freestyle Love Supreme, Come from Away, and Company) seem like they are happening or will happen this week. I'm feeling pretty sad about my decision now. I say just go for it.
Chanté Adams is out. The understudy is Lakisha May.
I saw the show last night, and I believe Lakisha May was on then too. I didn’t notice it because I didn’t know what the main actor looks like, and there was no slip in the program. I only just realized it because I looked up Lakisha May on Google and realized it was the same actor I saw. She stumbled on a few lines but she was very good.

I am sorry that happened to you. But happy to see another OKC area person on here! Something in the water.
My brother and sister-in-law will, coincidentally be in NYC the same time as me. Unfortunately, they had tickets to The Music Man for the 5th. By sheer luck, the two seats next to me at Kimberly Akimbo were available so they grabbed them. Hopefully we all enjoy it!
Omg company just stopped mid performance!!! I’m at tonight’s performance, and we had just completed “The Little Things You Do Together”, and the stage manager cam on the loud speaker and said the curtain came down immediately, and he told the audience to hold. Luckily it resumed 5 mins later with no further details or interruptions. It sounded like a small set malfunction….
^you really buried the lede there lol. Why did you put this on the COVID Cancellation thread? I really thought for a second that the show was full-on cancelled while it was on progress due to some illness or something haha
Has anyone here had their performance of Music Man canceled and been able to get an even exchange for another date (i.e. without having to pay current prices)? That's my chief concern right now with our group scheduled for the end of January - we bought as soon as tickets originally went on sale, and comparable seats (front center mezz) are now going for more than double what we paid. There's no way we'd be able to rebook at the current price point if our performance gets nixed.

I was there last night, too. There were a few slips in my playbill. One with all of the understudies and their bios (there are four), and one saying that Lakisha May was in. Weird that your Playbill was missing them! I thought Lakisha did a great job.

If you are referring to photo on Instagram he took one selfie from the steps of the stage door, at a distance. Actors are under enough pressure as it is, they don't need message board posters questioning their every move.

Would you be so kind as to tell us who the other understudies are?
They aren't in the Playbill because, presumably, they didn't hire the understudies until Omicron started wreaking havoc. It's possible that the understudies won't be in the Playbill until next month. Possibly not until February, even, if they missed the deadline for the January printing.
